I want some huge blueberry and found some from infamouse site.
http://michiganbulb.com/product.asp?pn=65342
Is it true or just fake?
I searched about lagest blueberry is "Chandler".
If that "Giant blueberry" is real, I'd love to try!!
Is anyone seen this huge blueberry?
By the way, I'm asking how big is "Size: Potted" to Michigan Bulb but they never answer question.
I don't want to pay $6.50 for 1 inch pot.
Thank you.
Is this lagest Blueberry?
Chandler is reputed to the largest blue berry cultivar. However it is a Northern high bush type, which is marginal for Georgia. Southern highbush or Rabbiteyes do best here. I think I would avoid Michigan Bulb, Chandler is widely available from northern nurseries like Miller, Raintree, Starks, Fall creek, Nourse Farms etc.
I suggest 'Climax' which is a rabbiteye blueberry that is great for our climate and produces tons of rather large, tasty fruits.
Thank you Mr. or Ms. Farmerdill and plantfreak78.
My mind is made up to say good bye to Michigan Bulb.
I hope some "real" Giant Blueberry is on the market in the near future.
Until then, I'm going to grow Chandler and Climax.
I'm not sure if those two bloom at the same time or not (which is what you need for good cross pollination and berry-set). Here I use 'Woodard' and 'Premier' for cross-pollination.
Mr. or Ms. plantfreak78,
I orderd Chandler that seems self-pollination but Climax was out of stock.
I'm going to wait until next year for Climax and 'Woodard' or 'Premier'.
I'm just a begginer and this site and people are so helpful.
Thank you very much!
It's my pleasure to help out. Happy planting :)
