Granted this year has been a weird spring here (it started about three weeks early,) but my crocuses didn't produce many flowers (I got three out of hundreds.) To top it off, the plants came up and produced massive foliage, but did not bloom.
What caused this and what can I do to get some flowers?
crocus woes
Perhaps you used too much nitrogen and not enough phosphorous. Give them some phosphate now while they are growing so that they bulk up this year for next season.
Oh thanks!
What a good idea :-) Fertilizer! Of course. I have never fertilized these and I put them in about 5 years ago. I bet you're right.
hi.....it appeared that you are not using proper resources for your plants growth. For the proper growth of flowers, use the required amount of water, sunlight and the fertilizers that helps the plants to grow. This will definitely help you a lot.
