I live in San Francisco and I've started growing Lavender from seed. I am very new to this or any gardening, but i thought i would give it a try. i have some questions..
I sowed my lavender seeds 1 week ago and they have started sprouting, is this normal? (the pack says 3-4 weeks for germination)
What do i do next? they are growing in a little seeds try split into cells under a dome, being watered from the bottom.
Any tips people can give me will be much appreciated.
lavender growing tips please?
When the plants are large enough and the weather is right.Harden them off before planting out.Give them a few hours a day outside to accumulate. They like soil that drains well, sun and a shot of lime. Next year prune in early spring when they start to show new growth. If you prune in the fall, you will get fewer flowers. If you don't prune at all the plant gets too woody.Edge
