Thanks Lily, it's good to be here!! That's *almost* a good shot!
Pel...chickadees are baffling. When I'm out walking the two dogs they're right in my face, almost landing on me...the second I go out with my camera they pull a vanishing act!

Hey !!!! I found my corner in this forum..... LOL.....
I knew there had to be a place for me here.... I love taking pictures of birds but would not dare posting my pictures on the other threads. This is where I belong, the "awful" pictures....Lol....
Ok; here's my first one.
Picture taken outside La Ceiba, Honduras. Don't know the name of the bird; the locals call it the "pia" because of it's sound. I also don't know if this is it's nest or he's trying to steal or eat something out of it. Picture was taken very early in the morning and light was very low; after tweaking the image on Picasa (yes, not photoshop; I'm the furthest from pro you'll ever get.....Lol..) this is the best I could do. Enjoy!!!
Willy.
Hi Willy, Thanks for posting this. We'll have to get Resin to have a look at it.
Hey sorry Willy, that picture is TOO good for this thread. LOL. You'll have to do better. Or would that be "do worse."

I'm sure I can do that...... Just wait to see my next picture....
I have some pictures where you cannot even tell there's a bird on them; do those count?
Thanks!!!
It is a good picture! :-)
The pix is TOO good for this thread. lol. Very interesting bird and nest, whether it's its own nest or not. Welcome Willy. Please post away. lol.
Great links !!!!
Wow... with 727 species in the whole country it will take me a minute to identify that bird..... Lol...
Let me get to it.....
Willy, I'll send Resin a link to your photo and as soon as I get some time I'll go through the links I posted myself.
:-)

Fascinating!
a little over baked Mrs. Ed! LOL
Wow that is really a cool looking bird! Thanks Resin.
Yes very kool bird! Thanks for sharing sevseasail.
Is that a Red Tailed Hawk Burd? The second shot is pretty clear. Nice bad ones. :))
Yup, Red-tailed Hawk Lily. The 2nd shot is clear but even with photoshop I really couldn't lighten it without adding too much exposure or artifacts/spots.
