Silver Fog Euphorbia vs Diamond Frost Euphorbia

Andersonville, TN

I'm not a novice, but don't know exactly where to post this. I am getting ready to do my planters and went to buy some euphorbia. I found a new line, Silver Fog... but no one at 2 nurseries could tell me the difference between Silver Fog and Diamond Frost... Anyone???

If they look that similar to each other I'd buy whichever one is cheaper. Often different cultivars will have subtle differences that can only be noticed if the plants are side by side (and sometimes it's even difficult then) so from a gardener's standpoint get whichever one is more readily available and/or cheaper.

What I noticed side by side was that the silver fog had less flowers, bigger plant... but that could just be age difference and cutting to reduce legginess in the nursery... it was obvious the silver fog was an older plant. However when you read up on both plants they seem to say the same thing. Pictures of silver fog show it flowering just like diamond frost. I want so many flowers you can't hardly see the green plant below. I guess I am just going to have to buy both and trial them myself.

Sometimes more than one grower may register a new plant that is very much like another, just having very subtle differences such as minute difference in bloom size, plant height, etc.

I had the silver fog last year and was extremely pleased. I looked yesterday at the nursery to find more of it but it was not available! I'd buy it again if I could find it!

I don't know how much they were, but this nursery is pretty reasonable... I'm sure they will be around the same price as the Diamond Frost, which was 3.99 for a 5" pot. Would you want some if they are still there? We could pay pal it, actual cost of plant plus s & h.
