Potato Onions & Planting in Topsoil bags

What do you know about Potato Onions?

I sell Egyptian Topset Multipliers with sucess but am interested in Potato Onions.
I planted some last fall and they are up.

Also, have any of you used bags of topsoil to plant in? I have need of more sun time
on some of my plantings and it has been suggested that I plant in bags and move them
where I get more sun.
