Eucalyptus as a houseplant?

Robersonville, NC

Has anyone grown the "silver dollar" plant as a house plant? If so, how did it do? I started several from seed to place in a perennial garden this year, then found out that it's actually a "tree". I'm probably going to sink pots in the ground to control their size outside, but am just curious about growing inside.

I am trying to over winter some this year.I put them in a south window all winter. They do not look good. They have lost a lot of leaves.I see no new growth. They are still alive but not happy.I am not sure how this is going to work out yet.If it ever warms up,I will get them outside.Edge

Edge, I guess you brought them in the house because you get colder winters there. I think they can stay outside year 'round in this zone. I'm just afraid to plant them in the ground, because I don't need trees. Since I have some extra seedlings, I think I'll just try one or two as houseplants and see what happens.
