Corn Gluten - When can you seed

(Zone 6a)

Beginning gardener who accidentally spread corn gluten down along with grass seed. Did not realize that the corn gluten will also prevent the grass seed from germinating! Does anyone know how long before I can attempt to reseed of should I try to rake up up the top level of dirt and reseed? Fortunately this was only a small area where a swing-set used to be so not much lost work.

Thanks for any replies!

Info from earth easy
"One application effectively supresses weeds for 4 - 6 weeks. Heavy soils, protracted rainy weather and hot spells may require monthly application."

So I'd say after a month or so.

Thanks for the reply flowerjen

I know there is doubt on how effective corn gluten is as a pre emergent weed preventive, but nothing has grown, weeds, grass seeds, etc., in the area where I seeded and applied the corn gluten.
