Hello, I have recently taken in a couple house plants.
I do get alot of sun through a couple south facing windows, but I do keep some of the plants in lower lit areas in other rooms and places for decoration.
Since I usually work from home, I will move the plants in better lighting positions during the day, sometimes receiving partial sun. I even take the Kimberly Queen outside for an hour in the
direct sun and I will sit the cactus on the window itself. Then towards the early evening I return them to their spots throughout the apartment.
Am I making a mistake by moving them too much? I am careful when I walk with them but i don't know if this is good for them and I haven't been able find anything through a google search.
Any help is appreciated.
Moving the plants around the apartment?
I move plants around somewhat also.Unless the plants are showing some signs of stress or not thriving, how can it be wrong? There are some plants that hate to be moved.Fiscus trees and Xmas cactus come to mind.On another thread someone is keeping a plant in their bathroom. There are no windows and no light. They switch it out with another plant every few days to keep them both growing.I think its a good idea.I think most people don't move plants because its a pain.If it doesn't bother you and your plants grow, why not.Edge
Thanks Edge, I just wasn't sure if moving them was somehow traumatic for them, but I guess not. I too keep a plant in the bathroom and take it out every so often. so far so good except my spath is getting droopy as I do not think I have watered it enough.
