It seems most of my perennials are coming up, but my Hibiscus hasn't done anything. It almost looks like it's dead. I am hoping they are a late grower. I don't seem to remember when they started growing last season
When will my Hardy Hibiscus start growing?
They're notoriously slow to come up--I've seen some people post that they don't show their faces until May or even June. So be patient!
Yes, they don't start showing any green until about early to mid June. My neighbor actually through hers very large bush out thinking it was dead because of all of the dried looking wood from the previous year, to her it looked dead. They take very well to diving if you can get a shovel into the wood, or maybe an axe.
Thanks everyone, I am feeling much better. I walk by it everyday and I was constantly poking at the dirt looking for some growth. Springhill Nursery sent me an offer for a collection of 4. Very pretty colors. I didn't want to buy them if I already killed the first one I had.
Ihave a pink one and it has a lot of new growth. I understand there are several different kinds, so maybe you have the late kind. Also we live in a climate that is fairly cool until May, but it is doing well.
