i was given an 8 month old avocado tree. she doesn't look like she's going to make it, the leaves have fallen off the plant is turning brown. i've been keeping it indoors and in the sunlight. tried outside but the wind hasn't been too good for her. how about some advice please.
dying avocado sapling
Avocado trees really need to be babied. They need to kept on the north side of the house in the shade. If they are planted in the ground they need to have a bigger tree over them for shade. The wind will really play havoc with the leaves. They need to be protected from the harsh winds. They do not like cold weather. A green house is a good place for a tree. Needs LOTS of water.
