White Tomato

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

Has anyone ever heard about this kind? Are they easy to grow?

Augusta, GA(Zone 8a)

If you can grow the average heirloom, these will do well. They don't have resistance/tolerance to systemic diseases. They are not actually white, usually a pale yellow or Ivory. Quite a few cultivars. I have only grown Snowball and Great White. Very mild flavor.

Seacat Gardens in Phoenix grows white tomatoes so you should be able to grow them too. I bought a transplant from him at the Tomato Fest and so far it is doing quite well.

I picked up a plant for about a buck, so I figure I have nothing to loose.

Score on the price! Seacat sells them at the Farmer's Market for $5!

The local greenhouse I get from sells a small container and the 4 pack of plants for about 1.30 per. She always gives kids a free 4 pack of flowers so Billy loves to go in there. This year he got pansy and they are edible so I will add them to his salads..

Does anyone know how they taste? Sounds like a good choice for some type of sause. I am going to find some recipes. Great Post http://atlantaseoconsulting.com
