OK I just took other pix and found half a word on the spoon.
I will plead geezerness and agree it must be devilbaby as MidAm s pic looks dead on.
Thanks you guys.
hee hee
The agapanthus i thought was gone has risen up to about 6"....yes! Nice iris, you should get out the brushes Jo.
"geezerness"....LOL, JoAnn!!! Nice club we have going with that label! When I was a smart-mouthed teenager in Florida, we defined geezers by the white socks they wore on the beach. LOL
OMG Thats a visual I can do without. I have more sympathy now for the whitesox people.
Mine are short because with arthritic feet its too painfull to put socks on that lave long cuffs.
Women in sox with sandals could be declared a fashion statement these days....men, not so much! especially white ones! LOL
i have been known to wear socks with teva's in the evenings to keep the skeeters away - never white socks though.
And the skeeters die laughing??
Wait until you have to face ageing. Its humiliating but there is no fighting it.
As long as they aren't white, Bill, no Florida teenagers will be laughing at you!
But black socks with sandals are even worse
better than letting the skeeters bite you on a knuckle of your toe.
i wear hiking sox - and do not care what i look like as long as the feet are protected.
Attaboy, Bill........that's the right way to look at it. The older I get, the more I look at things the "right" way! I never said I wasn't a shallow provincial teenager! LOL
Bugs bite me anywhere.
It has something to do with being a really sweet guy, Victor! LOL
Then I'd rather be sour!
I don't usually get bit so must be really sour!
LOL, Debi! I don't think so!!
the bugs love me.
me three!!
Me four!!!
Alchemilla is kapoot!
Looks like the butterfly bush 'Miss Ruby' is a goner. Gave it a long time to leaf out but nada. The two blue chip dwarf BB are growing well so they made it. Now I will have to find something to stick in there. Oh bother I will have to buy another plant, ha!. Any suggestions? Full sun, slope a shrubby plant with flowers, no taller than 3'-4' feet tall and wide.

Pat, I ordered a hardy to zone 5 crape myrtle called Tonto from Sooner Farms.....it's planted in a location just like you described. Gee, Pensy, glad you've got an iris to bloom down there. Jo, I'm really loving those dwarf iris.
Pat - Sorry about Miss Ruby, but I like your attitude....nice to see it as an opportunity for a newby!! Let us know what you end up putting there in her place! Marilyn has a good idea!
Pensacola - that looks like it will be pretty....I didn't know you could grown them where you are. Good job!!
JoAnn - I watched a slideshow of your gardens....lots of work has gone into making them so pretty and tidy! Your stepping stones are just great.....especially like where they split into paths going in different directions!
If it werent for those stones I wouldnt know where I was.
They are very useful, as well as pretty. They cover enough to eliminate some weeding too! Very cool!
thanx
Very nice JoAnn, love the large slate
Free donation last year. I couldnt believe it.
