Tomato Tree (topsy turvy)

Little Elm, TX(Zone 7b)

Hello,

This is my first time asking a question on the forums. To my great amusement, my three children each picked out a different tomato plant seedling and talked me into letting them take it home to grow. I admit, this was not that hard for them to do, particularly since I'd been looking for yellow grape or cherry tomatoes and they found some.

After a little discussion with one of the nursery guys at Shades of Green which is our favorite local nursery, my initial plan of putting them in one very large pot got tossed aside. The pot is only 24 inches across and it's already got a German Queen tomato in it. (I'm still tempted to give it a companion of a New Mexico chili pepper.) So tomato growing space needed to be found, but I'm not ready to make my raised bed garden yet.

Plan B, since I had not intended to have so many varieties of tomatoes, is the Topsy Turvy Tomato Tree. According to the sales pitch, it grows three tomatoes and three herbs all in one giant grow bag. I'm wondering what sort of experiences people have had with it? I'm going to give it a shot with moisture control potting soil to help keep me from screwing up the watering.

The reviews I've read are mixed, so I'm wondering what the people who actually know what they are doing make of it. Thanks for the help.
