Mexican Fan palms and pools

I planted two mexican palms in a inground planter about 4' deep. The planter is only 4' from my pool. Will the roots break the pool walls. They have grown to 10' in just 8 years.

As a rule, palm roots are rather shallow and do not spread very far.
