plants are looking so sick. Leaves turn yellow and red more falling off every day. I used OIL PHARM spray but didn't seem to help. Can this be saved. I have 2- 5 X 5 espalliers and both troughs look sick. I have never had problems with any of my plants ever.....I see very little new growth. I live in LA and we have had a very windy cold winter.
Thanks for any help

star jasmin espallier
Can you post some pictures? Assuming by star jasmine you mean Trachelospermum jasiminoides, I'd be surprised if they got cold damage since cold by LA standards should still be well above the temps where they get damaged, but nothing's impossible--we had a very early cold snap here in December which damaged some things that normally would have had no problems with my winters. I've also seen people use that common name for Jasminum nitidum and it is less hardy, so if that's what you have it wouldn't surprise me if it got some winter damage.
The good news is if it's cold damage, it'll lose some leaves but should recover in the long run. If it's not cold damage, it still sounds to me like it's a cultural issue rather than insects so sprays won't help.
