Safe to put EE's, Ginger, & Banana trees back outside yet?

Marietta, MS(Zone 7b)

My Elephant ears & Ginger are looking pitiful in the house & the Banana trees are putting up new leaves. Is it safe to put them back outside yet?

Thanks,

As long as you're past your last freeze date and stays above 50°(???) someone can correct me on the temp if I'm wrong on that.

I'd probably keep them in a bit longer--I'm going to guess that your last frost date comes in the last couple weeks of March so you're close but maybe not quite there yet. And this winter has been so weird, I wouldn't be surprised to see some late freezes somewhere in the country. Plants that have been indoors all winter and plants that are putting out new growth are going to be more susceptible to cold too so I'd make extra sure the cold weather is gone before you put them out. If you do decide to put them outside now, I'd keep a really close eye on the weather forecast and be prepared to bring them back in again if you get any cold weather.

Thank you all. I think I will take them out, but leave them in the pots so I can bring them back in if (when) I need to. Not supposed to drop below 50 all week. Was 70 here yesterday. Can't wait for spring! :)

50 is a little conservative...banannas defoiliate in the 32-35 range.
