Great shots duc and adel!!

Margaret, If there is a wild bird store near by that you use, they might carry the "Hummzinger" seen in ducs pics.

Here is one at this site http://www.rachelsrobin.com/shop/index.php?page=shop-flypage-25687, or you might be able to find it cheaper from a seller on Ebay.

Marlton, NJ

Here are some sellers on Ebay- http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m38.l1313&_nkw=Hummzinger&_sacat=See-All-Categories

There is a Mini one and a larger one. I think I might have both. :-)

Logan Lake, BC(Zone 3a)

Thanks pelletory for the links. We don't have a bird store but a couple of the garden centers carry a fairly wide range of bird feeders and food, I haven't gone there yet this spring but will be going in a week or two, now that I know what I'm looking for, I'm hoping they will have them in by then, if not I am going to order one on line.

Pelle, that first link of yours shows the feeder is larger than mine, but it doesn't include the bee guards. For me, that was important.

MargaretC, we got our HummZinger "Ultra" on EBAY and with shipping, the cheapest we found was $22.49. Make sure to check the description if you need the bee guards.

Logan Lake, BC(Zone 3a)

Thanks ducbucln, I will need the bee guards because we get a lot of wasps, I will make sure that it has them. $22.49 is not a bad price with shipping. Our dollar is almost at par with yours now so it shouldn't be that big a price difference.

Adel, I'm so sorry. I forgot to tell you that your little hummer is a cutie. The only way I know my Rufous' actually are that is when they're adult males and their backs are the rufous color. One of my books says that the tail feathers of the Allen's are more pointed than the Rufous, but I'm still trying to get photos which actually show those feathers.

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Beautiful Hummer shots Duc and Adel!! You are sooooo lucky!!!

Marlton, NJ

Hi Duc, I know some sizes of the Hummzinger do not come with bee guards anymore.

A pretty Anna's Hummer.

This guy was upset because it was so cold and windy-either that or he wanted me to stop taking the pictures.

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

This is an everyday sighting for me, but I love the challenge of trying to get both in focus at the same time-after thousands of pictures, I have less than a handful of good ones.

Sorry about your snow adel.

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

I sure hope they're just staying warm and will be returning soon. Hope that's the last of the snow. We had some too but thank goodness it melted when it hit the ground.

Here's one of my Rufous hummers.

That male Rufous refused to sit on the perch while I was out on the deck, but the female comes right up to me and ignores the click of the camera.

Wonderful shots Duc!

I really love the western hummingbirds!

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

I'm enjoying the peace around my feeders right now. When the rest of the hummers arrive, this kind of scene will not exist.

This Annas will let me walk right up to the feeder.

Wow they are so pretty Duc!

(Sharon)SouthPrairie, WA(Zone 7a)

Wonderful pictures, Duc. I still have just a couple of hummers. They must be stalled somewhere. My flowering quince usually has several and it is nearly done blooming.

Wonderful shot adel! She is beautiful!

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

What a great photo Adel!! She's a beauty!!

Mountain Girl, I'm down on my count for this time of year too, but 3 more Rufous' just arrived and they look pretty young. My Calliopes still haven't shown up and last year they got here on the 7th (the year before on the 1st. so there's still hope) I think you're right about them being stalled somewhere.
