I have fallen in love with Clitoria ternatea based on photos on the web (I've never seen it in real life).
Can I grow it as an annual in Toronto? When should I start the seeds? Do the seedlings transplant easily or do they need special care?
Thanks in advance!
Clitoria ternatea from seed in Toronto?
Before starting the seed soak over night in room temp water. I would plant them in individual pots or cell packs. This is a fast grower so I would not plant them too early probably 1st or second week of April. Give them bottom heat if possible warm temps hasten germination. I have grown them and if memory serves me they took about 3 weeks to germinate. I cannot recall how long it was before they bloomed for me.
Thanks, cyclops101!
