I get to start off with one of three Bald Eagles that sit in the trees close to my home. This one is an immature bird.
DAILY PICS VOL. 292
That just has to be too cool to be able to see them on a regular basis! I just keep hoping that someday I will get a photo of one of ours that live here. Thanks for the new thread!
I was going to go look for more Horned Larks but it is cold and windy today and we have had snow showers off & on all day today. I think tomorrow is supposed to be better.
I don't have anything really special to share...just the same old cast of characters. I did have a Fox Sparrow show up today(finally!), but I haven't got those one the computer yet.
So first up is a male House Finch....
Great shots Duc! Love those Bald Eagles! Thanks for starting the new thread!
Nice pics nanny! We're supposed to have storms (with snow) from tonight into Friday. Yippee! Not!!!!
Great shots of the eagles, duc. I really like the first photo.
Nice photos, nanny. I finally saw a few Horned Larks for the first time. I took a few photos out of the car window but was disappointed with the quality. I should have spent more time in the area and try to get better photos.
BTW, the 2010 Hummingbird Migration map is up from Hummingbirds . net and is in the first post of the sticky.
Nice shots GP! Love the Red-bellied Woodpecker.
Would you be able to get pics of the Mockers after the eggs hatch without disturbing them? (the adults near the nest)
Ducbuclin.... that photo of the cormorant from the end of the other thread... the full size one...
It needs a caption!
"For my next trick, I will perform the swan dive!!!"
Love it!!!
Nice shots GP! Love the Red-bellied Woodpecker.

Two years ago they were nesting in that shrub and I kept seeing a neighbor child climbing in the bush and trying to see the nest. That caused them to use someplace in my yard to nest the following year, since that's when I had the baby Mockingbirds around, but never did find the nest. The Azalea is as high as the roof, and it seems they have built it pretty high this year, which is good.
Al, Nice to see the Brant. Great shots!
Okay GP, I'm glad they nested higher.
Nanny, love that cardinal. I was surprised to read on the Great Backyard Bird Count that the cardinal was the "most reported bird so far this year and for the past 5 years". Nice one of the dove with that blue sky.
GP, wonderful, clear captures of all your birds!! Sure hope that nest is safe from the kids.
WildRose, LOL! That does fit.
Met, great photos of that brant.
Red, glad the bb found the worms. Sure looks pretty!!
Pelle, that snow looks so cold. Bet you'll have lots of birds at the feeders. Pretty one of the cardinal. Hope to see more grackle photos soon!
Nanny, that starling is lucky to have the suet all by itself.
I think this is one of my favorite pictures of my Brewers Blackbirds. This female was posing for me while I was watching it in the rain.
Beautiful shot of the female Brewers Blackbird. Of course I can't get enough of the Tree Swallows!
Pretty dark here today Duc but I'll do my best to get some Grackle shots.
Thanks Duc for the new thread, I lost track of our thread for one day and here we're almost at the end of the new one! What joy to be able to watch the Bald Eagles at such close range! Love the tree Swallows. Love everyone else pix as well. I've got an Eastern Towhee here, but not sure which gender.
Hi Lily, That is a male. Nice one!
I just love your tree swallows duc!
Nice photos everyone!
