NICE!!!!
thanks... easy seed too
Oh boy lots of pretty pics already this morning and one from yesterday which is really cute BES vine from Jen. JoAnn shows a lovely red corydalis. I did try the blue one, so maybe a different color would do better.
Love the snaps and hope they fill in like you want them to onewish, Nice Winky Victor and also another pretty DL from Pixie. Love that color bloom and also the color on Bill's JM. Great stuff everyone.
My shot for today is a group pic of this and that. I am looking forward to a bed full of different blooms all smushed together.
love that smushed bed!!!
I have to think of more Phlox
LOL, Pat--that's just what my gardens are---smushed! Your photo though is prettier than mine! Jo---great red corydalis--yellow seems to do best in my garden. And yes, I just bough some amethyst phlox---
I'll look for phlox at Gro-More come May
Thanks onewish, and Robin, but that is what happens when you only have so much space and need every perennial in the universe that will grow in your climate. JoAnn everyone needs more phlox. LOL.
Pat I just checked my Garden notes Gro-More plant list and I do have a phlox on the list Blushing Shortwood.
i "stole" some seed heads from a variegated one last fall - winter sowed them hoping they germinate
I need to get comfortable with stealing seeds.
I want it to take me to my happy place.
i stole them from my SIL - that alone made me happy:)
Good start
ooohh you can find me acquiring seeds from lots of places... I don't consider it stealing.. I think of it as helping them deadhead.. I did them a favor
:)
Seeds have been in for some time around here and I finally just couldn't stand it and in spite of having only one South window and that taken up by my wife's avocado plants, one six feet tall, I grabbed a twelve jiffy-7 tray in Walmart and dug into my seed drawer.Enough is enough, I gotta plant somthin or I'll go battier than my bipolar self is usually and thats pretty wacky---pulled out an envelope of H rosea seeds with 229 seeds in it, took out twelve, repackaged the rest, and planted twelve daylily seeds in jiffy-7 even though I have had uneven luck with the darn jiffy-7s. I'll just have to hope this is one of the times or one of the seeds that will germinate in them. I've had whole trays of 72 grow fine and I've had them turn white and rot or not even budge but that may be some of the odd crosses like wild fulva pollen I sometimes make. Rosea seedlings may look like:
JoAnn, I like that red corydalis. You'll have to let me know if it lives over for you.
Oh, Allison, that hardy snap will look great once it gets going! That pic of Diane's would certainly sell me on getting the seeds.
Love your columbine, Victor.
Nice group planting, Pat. I have some nice group planting shots, too. I love seeing everything altogether. I 'smush' a lot of stuff together, too. I like that really full look in a garden. Keeps the weeds down somewhat, too.
Nice petunias, Luvs.
Celeste and Weedy, nice DL's.
Here's my contribution for today. This is peony 'Scarlet O'Hara', the earliest to bloom for me.
Karen
pretty.. bright one Karen!
Thanks, Allison. It's one of my favorites. I'm hoping to acquire more peonies this year. I'm eying some, anyhow.
Karen
Karen I will be on the outlook for it this spring. It will be the 2nd year.
