GET OUT!! The $60 was for today and the last two snows. Both times he "forgot" to do our driveway. He did all the neighbors and zoomed right past ours. I had to call at the end of the day and ask if he was going to do it.
Okay, here's a pic. You can't see the mountain behind the car very well, but it's about 3' high. DH said he'd help me shovel my way out and go next door and talk to them.

He didn't. DH made me call his mother and ask for our money back. She sent him back out to do a better job. He was out there, making a bigger mountain of snow behind our car. I opened the door and said thank you, but go home. He gave me my money back. Ten minutes later, his mother came over, trying to make excuses for him, blaming it on the way I parked my car, saying that I ought to relax and maybe if I had more kids, I would relax.... Great. Just what I wanted to avoid. Sigh... I need to take meditation (or whatever) classes to help me mellow from the outside world. Or maybe just have lots of kids.
What a mess, Harper---our guy plows once, before the snow stops, then we have to call him back for the other 4" still in the drive! I'm sorry, Ronnie, about your Dane---hugs. I'm sorry, too, about what a mess this storm is causing for everyone---hope the plants are OK, Victor. Sherrie, you cracked me up with your pup's adventures---our airedale twins would cause lots of mischief!

Nope---don't do that---when I leave my DS's house with the 3 grandkids, I'm ready for a long vacation!

Bill no condolences from me...I have issues with the girl my son is going to marry...just hoping we can be there for him when we need to be...and it's not that no one is good enough more my sons either!! I have a great first daughter in law!!

I've had good neighbors before and some here down the street and across the street are very nice. It's just this one family next to us that give us grey hairs.
I had one idiot to the side of me but he moved and the new guy is very nice - and an arborist!!

They closed route 84 from Newburgh to Danbury, closed parts of the Saw Mill Parkway and declared a state of emergency here in Putnam County. No one is allowed on the roads unless you're an emergency vehicle. Our street is perfectly clear. Good thing I checked the news before going out. I hope I can make it to my botanical illustration class tomorrow!!!!

well bad news is my sister can't make it for the party... something showed up on her tests (she is not saying much.. only that she feels yucky).. so hard to believe someone in that great of shape.. always ate right jogs everyday.. she is 55 and looks better than I do... due to the snow the party count dropped to 18 I think.. having my coffee & breakfast then the cooking marathon begins

family is falling apart .... my 17 year old niece has a laundry list of health problems.. she had surgery on a shunt in her head twice a few months ago.. going to the ER now to get it checked out... my sister said she is having bad headaches... never a good sign
