The earliest morning sun, maybe 6hrs, then total shade, stays very moist.
What Have You Ordered 2010 #4
Nice.
very nice... have you grown heliotrope from seed before?.. I have had the dwarf marine .. no luck with them though
very pretty
pretty pretty!!
SIMPLY CLEMS Pirl and others convinced me.
Thank gawd I only have to use the eraser at this point in the garden season.
That should be enough sun, Jen.
Okie dokie, thanks for helping me spend my $.
This thread is so dangerous, good thing I alrady ordered Mardi Gras. Now as to more clems that may be a different story. Sure would like to give that Florida Sieboldii a try and could use a couple pink blooms that are type 3 too. Hmmm maybe I should go browse a little more.
No I haven't grown them from seed before. Have you? The Marine is the one that was available in seed. The others were only available as plants.
Okay I caved. Ordered from Evie's site a Florida Sieboldii which I will plant on the protected side of the arbor to grow with Etoile Violette and two Princess Diana to grow on umbrella trellis with Avante Garde.I will move the two General Sikorski vines to grow with honeysuckle on back entrance arch near the blue and yellow garden. That is it for this year. I think I did go a little nuts and hope I can get all that I have ordered in before the snow flies again next fall. What fun.
i am very interested to see what you will order next pat - cause i do not believe you:)
LOL ya, your probably not so far off with that statement. I am now starting the list for next year and a sib. iris bed. I am running out of room so that should slow me down a bit. But you never know , some grass could die off and a bed could get extended and then well you know.
LOL---those garden purchases just blind side us, don't they? I like the clems because of their verticality---you can pop them in a small space & get grand color! Sigh, yes, Jo Ann & Pat, I, too, swore I was through buying, but while I'm still breathing, I'm still dreaming of those gardens!
The grass can be helped to die off----I have an airedale that will help! And Victor, those knitting needles are handy----good for prying weeds!
OMG- I just paid $40 for a single seedling to be sent to me 2 day delivery. It is a Bolivian Yacon - wish me luck. And on top of that - I have to lift it every year! I am insane!!
Wow.
Yeah.
Good luck, AYC!!!
Help me if I ever have to do that.
You'r brave AYC
Had to look that baby up AYC. At least it is a useful plant. Good for diabetics. May be used for fuel. Are you going to eat the extra tubers? Let us know how they taste if you do. Sounds like a fun plant and I wish you good luck with it.
Good for diabetics? I'm in.
that's cool Memory!!!.. can't wait to hear your results
ordered some seeds today from park seeds - these dam catalogs!
Delphinium Magic Fountain Mix - not the giant floppers that need staking
Angelonia Serena™ Lavender Pink & Angelonia Serena™ Purple - will try these in a container
Poppy 'Blue Himalayan' - supposed to be hard to grow although worth the effort to try
OMG - they are 1/3 the price at green harvest! I bookmarked the site for later.
yikes .. hate that
Ought oooo Bill sounds like this yucky grey day has got to you too. LOL
I think that site is in Australia AYC, don't know if you can order from them or not. Can't wait to hear how this does for you.
Take solace in the fact that perhaps you paid more for a more mature plant? At least that's what I tell myself when it happens to me. ;)
Bill I got some blue poppy seeds to germinate and palnted the little seedlings. They ended up going dormant, most likely terminal dormancy but I'm hoping to see them in spring anyway. ;)
my gebharts order
