Coffee Break #32 - Cold Days and Hot Flashes!
Hee hee he!
Unfortunately they say the average women gains between 15-20lbs while going thru the 'change'.
My sympathies..it must be tough.
My mother's started very early and continues today at 85 yrs.old (Well, almost)
DW's has been much easier to cope with.
Oh no!!!!
Good news for a change in my family - my cousin's son and DIL had a baby girl the other day. Love this name - Sofia Marie. The Marie is for my cousin's deceased wife, who died from cancer a few years ago. I'll try to post a pic.
Congratulations!
Cute! (like Bill's mushroom)
too cute!!
Awww, how sweet! And the Name is perfect! LOL
they said it may take a few days
I remember when my mom went through the changes. She was very moody and would turn beet red during the flashes.
ok--I clicked on the thumbnail by schickenlady icon(where the pic should be) and it took me to a different screen--Ask.com(which I hate)--what's up with that? IB is giving me more hot flashes than my hormones! Grrrrrrr!
if I clicked the thumbnail.. I was able to see your AV
me too--^_^
I got Ask.com when I tried to open an email also--it snuck in with updates i downloaded earlier today--I can't tell you how many times I have uninstalled Ask.com on this puter in past couple of years--wish I could totally block it--it always sneaks in--so I apologise for that one IB.
Um, hope you like my selections for Bloom of The Day, I tried to select from a wide variety of plants and am real happy with all the photos I picked, just a very few of them are mine, (I couldn't help it!) but I try to pick from many photographers. I am the topic starter for the entire month of Feb., meaning that I picked all the BOTD for Feb. and all of July's blooms will be my selections as well.
Happy gardening all, and hope you all have smooth sailing through menopause, (you too Victor, LOL!) it's a real pain, the night wake-ups drive me crazy and and after several days of it, watch out anyone that crosses me!
I didn't mean anything nasty by it... sorry if you took it that way.. just an observation . you know I enjoy them regardless whose they are
Can't imaging you being nasty, Sue!
I had the morning sickness when my wife was pregnant.
Oh I know you didn't mean anything nasty (I bet you did check back on the thread to see what was written LOL, or maybe not, maybe I am assuming LOL!) , I understood it as you were wondering about the trend of my name popping up so often. And I have noticed that you really enjoy BOTD on a daily basis, so do I. I have been submitting images as I came across them in PF for a couple of years on a regular basis anyways so when Dave asked for help in moderating BOTD a while ago, I jumped in. I figured someone observant would eventually question it anyways.
Guess who had the month of Jan.? (looking at the screen shot previously posted) And next month, the topic starter will be someone else.
Cheers all! Come on spring! Coffee kicking into overdrive, can ya tell?)
Yes - that's the just the name of the topic starter, not the name of the person whose pic it is.
once I post the threads are on my watch list forever... never take them off.. so you were right
it wasn't your name in particular that kept catching my attention... and yes I did notice who picked January's photos.. happy for 3G's that she got involved... and I know you have tons of beautiful shots in the PF.. so good for you I say.. I couldn't keep up with that.. just caught my attention that lately it seems to be the same people over and over.. didn't mean anything by it... I look forward to the BOTD every morning
Back to the sweet newborn. She looks very relaxed, probably doesn't know that she is related to a gardener.
Let's see. She's my first cousin's granddaughter, so she would be my first cousin, twice removed.
As long as when she is older, she doesn't remove (pick) the flowers. Has time for her to train on flower removal & get allergic to JMs.
Hi Sue! Nice to see you stopping by the Northeast.
I doubt I'll take medications, but I will be doubling up on calcium and magnesium supplements. Obviously because of bone density, but also because they help with muscle spasms. I didn't understand why I was getting such strong heart palpitations until I found them listed as a menopause symptom. Then it all made sense! Hey, do you think I could blame the 20 lbs I gained in the last two years on this? I love that cartoon, Victor!
I went back to bed, got about two more hours sleep, but it was still fitful. Oh well. It will pass.
Harper
defeats the purpose doesn't it Victor????
and yes you can blame those hormones for doing that to you Harper!!!
What I really want to know is, will I shed the lbs. once this is all over?
Up to you.
I swear I find funky things on ebay (some by mistake) 1980 rubik's cube 258.00 bucks!

holy cow.. I need to go digging in my mom's basement.. we have a few.... one I might have pulled the stickers off and put them back on though.. LOL.. bet you there are lots of good things to sell down there.. do kabangers sell for good money?
amazing what the baby boomers will pay for nostalgia.
I once sold a set of those alluminum drinking cups that came in metallic colors complete with jug and in the original bag on ebay for 300.00. original price 5.00.
A judge in NY bought it. I guess she wanted to put it on her dais.
