Daily Pics. #286

Hack - Great offer, I may have to schedule a road trip!

ducbucln - Great birds, very nice work. When I leave Hack's, I may need to head west and sit in your backyard too!

What a great afternoon. Wonderful pictures from everywhere. I got rewarded with a flock of cedar waxwings that passed thru and rested in the trees and got water. Most of the images were pretty poor since the mid afternoon sun eliminated most of my options, but I enjoyed another infrequent visitor to my little piece of the world.

Here is the only image I could salvage that shows the wing tip and the tail colors. I wish could have done a better job when the image was created, but live and learn.

I reply to the friends who included me in their comments (hope I didn't miss anyone).

I try to comment whenever I can...often I come home from work to an entire thread which takes a good hour to go through. Add me going through my own picture's and the editing etc, then coming back to the thread again to upload picture's, geez it 2am already.

I'll let you all know that I will post comment's on your photo's more than likely on the weekend. Do not take it personal that I did not comment on your picture's. Everyone does a great job here and DG is a happening place and new member's have been coming in lately which eats up the thread quickly. Any comment's on picture's in the past still hold true and I am glad to be a member of Dave's Garden. I,m guessing from pass experience with websites that DG easily get's 1,000 hits per day. Now that's cooking, try keeping that as a reminder. lol

Forgot to mention I'll be back later with photo's and comment's, I also did a 1 hour bird count...for the other thread, much better result's this time.

Hey Burd, I know you regularly make comments. I wasn't trying to step on anyone's toes. I was just thinking that I ought make some replies back so folks would know I enjoy reading their comments.

I'm retired and have a lot more time on my hands than those bird friends who still put in 40 hrs a week. And I rarely go back the previous thread to make comments. If I catch one at the end I may make remarks about the older thread on the new one, though.

With the lousy weather we've had, I didn't make any photos today nor yesterday. And I think I got in too late on the counting thread.

Have a nice day.

I think we all know we each appreciate comments...I know do even if I don't thank you each time!!

I am still catching up on getting thru photos. I am getting the hang of the new camera but still have a lot to learn and figure out. I got a feeling the Fuji will still be the camera of choice on my walks tho for the time being.

Anyway....we had this female Red-bellied Woodpecker the other day. That was a nice surprise!

I get real excited when the Carolina Wren shows up since it doesn't come that often!
