Garden Gloves?

Havertown, PA(Zone 6a)

I never wore gloves to garden and I never worried about it, but last winter I treated myself to a manicure a couple times and in the spring I thought, wouldn't it be nice to keep the hands pretty all through gardening season? So I bought some gloves (cheap ones) but with gloves on I'm all thumbs, so I pulled them off and have had my usual "manicure" (cut short just to keep them clean) ever since.

Are there are any gloves that I could wear that wouldn't make my hands clumsy and sweaty?

Our Master Gardener Group has the best gardening glove I ever saw.
They have rubber palms and fingers but the backs are fabric I believe cotton. You hardly know you are wearing gloves plus your hands and gloves stay dry if you are working with wet stuff. They also protect you from thorns.
They are only $5 a pair. You may have seen them in some catalogs they are yellow and green and they are much more than $5.
If you are interested let me know I would be glad to send you a pair Email me.

I get a glove much like Paul describes called 'grip' at our Home Depot for $3.99. That is what I wear when its warm...in the winter I wear fleece gloves with rubber gloves over the top. Dee
