Looks like a BOTD problem this morning that I'm looking into.

Bug of the Day?

Lots of the forums aren't showing thumbnails. It's because I disconnected the picture server from the web server during this transition.

I'm in a position where I need to decide to put in place a bunch of temporary fixes so that these all show during the time that I do the transition, or just hurry it up and finish the image copying...

Anyway, I'm working on this right now.

PF photos aren't working for me. Anyone else?

They are just taking a long time before enlarging for me.

Now it's working. I had that problem earlier, pelle, but then I was getting X's.

Let's call a spade a spade!

I'm just borrowing this account for the time being.

The images are slow, indeed, but this will be finished in time and things will go back to the normal speed. This image migration is a gigantic effort.

It'll probably continue to run all weekend. On Monday it should be done, and I can finish up this image migration work, and then all will be well regarding images.

Once IB moves the servers off our Dallas data center then it'll be in their hands to make sure it's fast and snappy. Until then I'm keeping it moving as best as I can, given the image migration load it is currently under.

Images in the Trash to Treasure and Pottery threads were blank this morning. Do you need more info?

The classified ad forum wasn't working as well. No pictures were showing and the format was different.

I just checked the classifieds and the photos are showing fine. (Slow, though)

oh, I checked twice and they weren't coming up and the columns were different. Guess I didn't wait long enough. Sorry for the inconvenience :)

What I've noticed, and why I came here, is that when I click on a thread, and try to read, the thread jumps around until the photos load. Then, if I click on a photo to enlarge it, the post comes up, but the photo doesn't as my computer churns and churns and I give up and get out.
Having read that you are working on the photos, I am assuming that this is all going to go away in the near future.

And now of course they're all working fine....like taking the car to the mechanic for a funny noise...LOL!

The article thumbnails are not working in IE.
I had a report at the helpdesk and they can see them in Firefox, but not in IE. When I checked the articles right after the move, I was in FF so they displayed normally. I checked IE and no images.

Didn't Dave say years ago that his site worked better on FF than IE? That made me switch!

That's true, Hap. But there are a lot of IE users in this world, so it makes sense to have the site as compatible as possible with IE. Everything displayed fine in IE until a few days ago. I'm confident that Dave will take care of the problem.

I'm in FF and I'm seeing nothing. Nada. Zip. Is it temporary?

Bird Watching forum, some pics on different threads not showing. It just keeps loading. :-(

i haven't been able to get any pictures on most of the forums i frequent today. even getting on dg at all is slow going....just loading and loading with no results. i'm sure this is all just temporary...just letting you know.

Yes, temporary...bear with us, but Dave does need to know what you are seeing, so continue to report.

in all fairness, i've just realized that all websites i normally frequent are slow...maybe the holiday? lots of people home today.

There should be no remaining issues. Maybe some slight slowdowns, but all images should be showing without problems. If problems are persisting, I need to know about it immediately.

And, please, post a link to the place where the problems show.
