Charlene, can I have a salvia cocinea?

Sheila_FW and TARogers5, I was able to find two more wahoos that needed rescue by raking away leaves and pulling away some japanese honeysuckle. If they all survive the transplant, then you guys are covered. :)
Thanks Dennis, I appreciate your search.
TARogers5 I would love a hyacinth bean vine if you can spare one.

Notice... Since the E TX RU falls after our RU...Frostweed and I spoke today, and this has been decided.
We will have a card and flower pot bank at the RU; for those of you who want to donate money, forgot or didn't have time to order plants, etc. We will count the money at RU; and after the door prize drawings the total collected will be announced. Josephine or I will then purchase a gift certificate from Wal-Mart and take it to Jacksonville RU on the 15th. If Dave doesn't come to either RU, we will pass it on to Charlene to deliver along with the donated plants. It could be used for anything needed for the family or the garden.
Sheila
In case some people don't know, this is for Dave and Trish's housewarming, and as a thank you for running DG for all those years.
We thought that a collective gift would be better than a lot of small ones, and easier to deliver too.
Of course this is only voluntary and no one should feel obligated to participate, but we thought it would be a nice gesture.
Josephine.
Thanks for explaining that Josephine...I forgot some might not know that.
Keep me on track girlfriend!
That's a great idea! I was trying to figure out how to participate.
Good Stephnie!!! we hope most people feel it is a good idea.
It is a great idea!!!
Glad you agree too catz.
I love that idea!! I will also be glad to carry plants to Dave and Trish. For some, a gift from their own garden might be more generous than the cash they could afford to donate. Either way is wonderful.
I do so hope they know how much they are appreciated!!
So many friendships and gardens have grown due to the building of this site.
You are right Charlene, Dave's Garden is a wonderful place, and we are all very lucky to be a part of it.
Josephine.
Yes and we worry when someone drops off the site, they are an extended family.
Anyone here heard from Lynea "CocoLulu" lately? How about T.J.? If someone knows please tell them they are missed.
Sheila are you asking about TJ (timmijo) ? I don't know Lynea.
I've seen Lynea over on the "other" site. Haven't seen TJ in a while.
Bump!
No catz....he is broncbuster on DG, but looks like he has let his membership lapse.
Thanks Stephanie...I saw where she was hiding.
Appreciate the bump Dennis! With all the cold weather we have had I am SO GLAD we ended up with the May 2nd date this year. I think that it would be a good idea to wait until May every year for us in the northern region.
I think so too Sheila.
After this weather today, I'm ready to trade some plants! :)
I have started some seeds today! hopefully they'll be ready for trading at the RU. I don't like this cold weather. Today is a nice break.
Yes it was beautiful today. I walked all the way back to the end of the yard without a coat for the first time in a while. LOL!
I was finally able to "putter" in my backyard yesterday -- I transplanted a Yaupon Holly and very slightly expanded one area of my flowerbeds. I loved it and was SO ready for it. Too ready, I guess, because I overdid it and today I am very, very sore. Spring is coming, though, as I saw new growth on a PossumHaw Holly. Come on, Spring!!!
Carla
I second that one Carla!!!
I cleaned out debris and dog poo and loved it! It was a very nice weekend to work outside and so needed after a long cold spell. Lots more to clean then I get to really have fun and start some new projects.

Saving my space for the Arlington RU.
O.K. I know that I haven't posted a list yet, so I can't complain about others nor doing it, but let us get going !!!
ok-i am going to work on coming--i will see if i am too late to start any plants or not--but since i am going to try to start seeds what are some seedlings that are popular? last time i brought wandering jew and canna and no one was interested so i want to bring something that people like and that can be started from seeds
i plan on coming--i plan on bringing 3 guests--and i will have plants and seeds to trade--
i will list which ones later--
i would love to try a fig tree and a brug since those are two that i tried in the past and did not work out--

Linda, you had that giant dill plant, if you have seeds from it you could start a few of those. Since it is a host plant for the blackswallow tail and I don't have any, I would be interested in them. Also, see if later you can locate the bulb of that yellow lily and I will swap you a red one.
Phyllis~I'm planting lemon cukes this year. I'll plant a few more for you if you like.
i did not save any seeds--i guess i didn't plan very well--i assumed it would come back and if it does i will be sure to save seeds for you -or if it has a couple plants you can have one-but don't think anything by may 2--or maybe i am wrong about that
i was thinking i could buy some seeds and try and start some -not sure which plants tho
I can use all the Coneflowers, Echinacea purpurea, that you can come up with, so if you want to start some of those that would be great!!
Josephine.
sounds good--but do they start from seed?
Sure, you can buy the seed at most nurseries.
Stephanie, would you like to trade Gaillardia for some wood violets?
By the way, 3 out of the 4 wahoo bushes have nice leaf buds that are starting to open, so I have high hopes for them. The 4th one is the smallest and is looking a bit questionable, so we'll have to wait and see on that one.
Sure, Dennis! How many do you want? There's 10,000 babies out there!
Stephanie, I could use some Gaillardia too, I will have something to post soon.
