I am planning to come.

I'm not sure how many will be coming with me. At least 1, but maybe 3 or 4. I will know more closer to the event.

I plan on being there + 2.

I would love to come! My first since joining.

I missed out last time and turned around with a truck full of plants.
I figured it would be canceled due to the horrible rainstorm I was driving in.
NOT SO! I missed all the fun! Not gonna happen again. This is my fav RU.

The worse part second to missing the RU was that I took home brownies and ate most of the darned things!

Now Stephanie that's up to you. Started plants are nice, but they do take room to bring them. Seeds are fine, plants are great! I'll be happy with either.

Just some ramblings...........

So far we have 14 members + guests signed up!!! Remember only the member pays the $5. A final full count including guests and family will be posted later on a new thread.

We will have a food sign up thread about mid April, and will eat at noon-1pm on RU day. There is no electricity so be prepared for that.

Don't forget to be looking around for the door prize items (nothing expensive) good garden related and preferably unisex gifts. (we have a lot of men who attend.)

Also those who don't have many plants to trade, some members will bring garden art, potting soil, etc. for trades.

Let's get ready to have fun....spring will be here before we know it.

I had a nagging feeling that I had something else going on on that date. Turns out it is the Colleyville Garden's Club Promenade. I volunteered to work a few months ago. BooHoo! I will have to see you in the fall.I will still keep an eye on the trading. I have to get that blackfoot daisy to Stephanie!!! (3rd try)

Maybe we can meet for coffee in between before hand. Hate you won't be able to make it, you will be missed. We have a had time setting the dates because of our committments some years. But since we pay for the pavillion and it is a popular spot, we have to decide early. The Saturday's were all taken.

I am going to put this on my calendar for now. I have another commitment that weekend so possibly subject to change.

Notice......Also since the E TX falls after our RU......Frostweed and I spoke today, and this has been decided.

We will have a card and flower pot bank at the RU; for those of you who want to donate money, forgot or didn't have time to order plants, etc. We will count the money and after the door prize drawings will announce the total collected. Josephine or I will purchase a gift certificate from Wal-Mart and take it to Jacksonville RU on the 15th. If Dave doesn't come to either RU, we will pass it on to Charlene to deliver along with the donated plants. It could be used for anything needed for the family or the garden.

In case some people don't know, this is for Dave and Trish's housewarming, and as a thank you for running DG for all those years.
We thought that a collective gift would be better than a lot of small ones, and easier to deliver too.
Of course this is only voluntary and no one should feel obligated to participate, but we thought it would be a nice gesture.
