I had some growing there before we put up the shed. Now you can still see them but they are mashed. Hopefully they will all recover and do well. Mostly moss grows there anyway.
Willows Greenhouse
I'm one of the few who actually like moss. And we have quite a bit of it. But if I really wanted it to grow somewhere, it wouldn't. Murphy's Law...
I love the moss too. O'Brian's law......"Murphy was an optimist".
I do, too!!!
Hopefully they will for you, Judi.

Could be due to that slug exiting stage left from #7!
Love those stepping stones. Could be the soil.....looks like it is gravel to set the stones?
Judi, they will be back. It takes a little heat to get them going.
I love stepables, I'm planting some on a new pathway this year....
I love the hopscotch path stones.... mind if I ask where you got them? was it local? or possibly on the internet????
I just love your greenhouse/shed, unique design.
Janet
Ditto on the hopscotch stones.
I have the "Poetry Stones" supplies for making colored-cement plant markers & tiny headstones, but I left all of mine behind with the objects they belonged to.
Couldn't you just feel your feet hopping down those stones?
I love those hopscotch stones. Do you hop on them Gwen? Why do we stop playing those games when we grow up?
I don't know about you but I don't bounce so good any more.^_^
I too love Tyne my favorite steppable. I have them planted everywhere in our garden. Many pathways with tyme. My wife and I often walk through " thyme" in our garden forraies.
Willow, Good to hear that you are able to start "moving in"! Looking good and I can't wait to see it in person.
Gwen, I love your "hopscotch" area as well. I love the stepables as well, but have found that a lot of the "greener" ones have not done well for me. Unfortunately, I think that "stepable" is a theory that does not apply to routine dog feet.....
Sopher, I love the "walking through thyme"....... My pup Hunter's favorite resting place in the summer when I am working behind my house is curled up in the bark path with his nose "lost in thyme"........... It is an awesome plant, and I wish I could get more of it to take off!
Katye, LOL, I suppose that could be it. But they seemed more like they died from lack of water, altho I watered them ALL the time.
The soil was sandy, but not gravel. Wherever I planted, I made a hole in the sandy stuff and put in soil. I thought the sand would be great for drainage! Guess not.
I got the stones at a garden/home shop in Port Townsend. I had seen them the year before I bought them. They were frightfully costly. So I came home and spent hours and hours trying to find them on the internet. All I knew is they're made by an artist in Oregon. I was hoping to locate her and approach her to buy them directly and perhaps save some money. After not being able to find her, and thinking about them for a year, I went back and bought them. Shortly after I bought them, I was at a friends' house and discovered she had the same set - hers were buried under long grass so they had to be pointed out to me. Her dh bought them for her as a gift. Nice dh!!!
I love mine. If I could jump, I'd hopscotch down them. But I'm afraid I might crack one! I had my hubby set them very carefully as if they aren't perfectly flat, they can crack when stepped on. I hope they don't crack, but I've decided that even if they do, they'll still look great. They are in an area that is very visible but rarely does anyone actually walk there because there's really no reason to. You can see them from above on the porch which parallels them and also from the patio which is adjacent to them.
What fun!! I could see that in a little girl's garden.
Hey! I can see those stones in a big girl's garden! Even if they crack, and maybe they won't, they would still be fabulous. When I'm walking the the neighborhood and I come across a hopscotch drawn in chalk on the sidewalk I can't resist hoping down it. Flash of childhood.

It's all that freakin' sun that you guys get!!!
That's a pretty picture.
Dean came out today in the freezing cold and got the window in the door, the door cut in two pieces for the dutch door and a bolt to lock the two together on the inside. And the piece to stop the door against.
I put the miniature fuchsia that has been inside for the winter out in the greenshed. It's first plant. We have also decided to put shelves along the right side end wall. That will give a lot of setting spaces. So tomorrow he will be back to put up the fake windows and whatever else. Need some devise to hang up the rakes and shovels and I think that will be it until the rain barrel comes.
Now you just need to rig up an intercom system to the house (because you'll be out in your new greenshed all the time) and you'll be set!!
I'll have to take my cell phone with me so DH can call me. His daughter is going to come to the party and sort of keep an eye on her dad for me.
Yes, definitely a Big girl's garden, also. What was I thinking?
Love that thyme! It looks great there.
Lucky fuschia!!!
Oh Willow, I am so happy for you. Very lovely.
It looks so gooooood with all your stuff in there. As far as shelves go, gardening stuff gets pretty heavy. I'd recommend some of those gorilla shelves you can get for your garage - and just have Dean secure them into the wall in some way in case of earthquake.
You're so organized!
That's so fabulous! I love the first photo with the pot on the stand and that wonderful chair! Are you having a great time with all this?!?!?
Totally delightful, Willow! You know, those oversize shower hooks like you're using for towels also work really well for tools.
I am having an amazingly good time with this whole project. I am so thankful to have Ruth and Dean doing all this work. Just the way I want it done too.
When I get the stool out there I will take a cup of tea with me and sit and contemplate my new little world.
Dean is drawing up some plans for the shelves!
Willow, you must be thrilled. It looks wonderful and I am excited for you! I like the pot on the stand as well.
