Great shots duc! I love the Spotted Towhee!
Cute House Finch nanny!
Mrs Ed, Glad your Oregon form Junco is back!
Hi CC!
Same here nanny! Loads of Starlings, especially in the afternoon.
You guys are killing me - but I do love seeing all the pics. Here, let me speak on it:
adelbertcat - I liked the pic of the Snow Geese. I looked in my Ga book and I don't expect of ever see any here.
nanny_56 - " Just a couple more shots of my very handsome Red-bellied Woodpecker and then I am shutting down for the day." Nice way to end the day. I also like the House Finches. I'm still hoping to see the yellow version of the male.
f_chisolm - "Hack you have a good variety of birds." Thanks, Frank. I'm very blessed. Have you fully recovered from your mishap?
Methodical - Great set of photos. Your Tufted titmouse (gray crested) looks just like mine. Your 50D is doing a great job. Also, I really like the detail I see on your Carolina Wrens.
Burd_Fotos - . You're gonna wear out your Rebel T1i. I, too, have been trying to catch birds in flight and you have sure succeeded at it. I read that you moved Elvis's feeder much closer, Have you baited that stump or block of wood?
rutholive - "Sorry the quail were on the ground beside the deck." I'm glad you cleared that up, I thought for a minute there that the quail had eaten plumb through your deck. :-)
2dCousinDave - I liked the composition showing the bluebird that apparently had a problem with his right foot.
reddirtretiree - That Texas Mourning Dove is great - Love the detail of the feathers.
Mrs_Ed - Too bad that you've not seen the Oregon Dark-eyed Junco for while. Its a nice looking bird. I'm glad he's back.
ducbucln - Oh, man, that Spotted Towhee.is beautiful.
That's all folks, hope I didn't miss anyone, if I did it wasn't on purpose.
Hack
Wow that's an excellent catch Dave!
Those bluebirds are too darn cute.
Okay, here's a shot that is not so great. But let me tell you, I feel pretty good about it considering…
This Ring-billed Gull (I think) is taken with a new lens for me, a 400mm prime. However, it is manual aperture and focus. I have it on my monopod because it is almost 3 pounds. I have had a tough time with in just in terms of exposure. I'm getting the hang of it. Was stoked that I actually got something in focus while it was flying! LOL.
I love watching these gulls soar over our small little river dam. Sometimes we see the eagles in this same location, but gulls are frequently there.
Plus, love to share with you the gorgeous scenery and architecture here. This area was once known as the hardware capital of… the world? the nation? can't remember. There were tons of different companies who took steel and scrap metal and made all kinds of small hardware. Of course since the 70s, everything has nearly gone away. Buildings are just now getting torn down. It will be nice when they are gone.
Wow your up late Mrs Ed!
So are you, Pelle. LOL
I'm off tomorrow..yippee!
Couldn't sleep last night, slept in this morning and also had a nap.
Meanwhile it's time for lunch somewhere in this world, right Margaret?
I love that Spotted Towhee!
Nice shots Everyone!! Hack, I put Elvis's suet feeder above that stump on that (old apple tree). It'll take a day or two before he finds it. I plan on moving in a couple of month's and want some nice (better, lol) shots of Elvis.
Duc, Great Job! on the titmouse and Towhee's, like the close-up of the California Towhee the most.
Reddirt, nice shots! How often do you get snow in OK?
Nice shots Nanny!! Sure that isn't a Purple Finch? Of course Ive been wrong "every time" on Id's of those. lol
Dave, like that shot! That young male must have got a good wallop, (he look's impervious to whats about to happen). lol
Mrs_Ed, nice shot! Have fun with your new lens! I have a goal of getting a 400mm lens this year, hope its before Warbler season. lol
Great shots Dave!! Yes, that last one is excellent!
