Daily Pictures Volume 281
Nice shots everyone! Grasmussen, great shot of the Raven!
Mrs_Ed, I bet that was very loud, as close as you were.
Duc, nice shots as always! Is there a Eagle nest nearby you? You definitely get closer shots than I can get. We did have one in the area where you could get nice close-up shots, it was a nest, next to an old Tavern, but it was blown down by a storm last spring.
Hack, nice shots! I really like your combo shots and you have quite a variety also.
Nanny, you have a very busy backyard, nice shots!
Dave, your shots are one of kind, and with the snow, its like a story book that needs no words!
Met, Great Job! Your clarity is always there, and you nail all your shots!
VA_Wild_Rose, work that T1i, sweet shot!! :)
I'll throw in a few shots to the thread.
Brown-headed Cowbird
Thanks Burd. I like the 1st sparrow with it's wings wide open that is a classic shot
Ive been trying to capture good shots of the birds flying away, here are some.
Thanks Burd. I like the 1st sparrow with it's wings wide open that is a classic shot
Thanks Met! That shot had the best light, I will keep trying this, maybe I can get them all in sync.
Sorry the quail were on the ground beside the deck
Donna
Great shots everyone!!!
I am always so impressed with everyones pics!
Burd, That first flight shot is excellent and I love the one of the Starlings "no way it's all mine".
Donna, So great that you have all those Quail around!
Dave, Beautiful as always!
VA, Great shot of the Mockingbird!
Met, All your shots are wonderful!
I've been gone for a week or so and haven't been on the board much, nor taken many pics. Looks like I've got plenty of catching up to do. Arrived home to several inches of snow and mostly empty feeders. My big squirrel buster was so ice-laden the weight of the ice had closed the feeding ports. We should have some thawing today.
Took this shot of a Slate-colored Junco this a.m.
A pair of wintering Trumpeter Swans taken a couple of weeks ago. There are several sightings of wintering Trumpeters in OK this year. Significant to their long-term survival because the birds in the Central Flyway have all been transplanted with birds from the Rocky Mtns. and eggs from Alaska. Migration is a learned behavior passed from generation to generation. Looks like they are learning to migrate south.
Nice shots red! Love the Swans. Wow You are really having bad weather if it's closing the ports.
Wow! I've missed a lot. 3 threads worth of pictures!!!!! Kudos to everyone! Way to many to comment on. lol
I was working a dog show all weekend in San Francisco. I'm still exhausted.
Dave, every one of those photos are just stunning. Can you tell me which lens you were using with the 7D or were they different each time?
Hack, great shots! I especially enjoy seeing that Brown Thrasher-much more colorful than our Calif. Thrashers.
Adel, the Snow Geese sure are pretty.
Nanny, beautiful red-bellied! I'd love to see on here.
Met, that snow just enhances the beauty of each of your birds. Great job.
Wild Rose, beautiful mocker!
Burd, ref. the eagle nest, just too many trees to find a nest. Love those cowbirds and Elvis looks great. Glad we'll be seeing him a little closer, although your photos always make him look wonderful. Great action shots. Love those starlings.
Donna, that's a lot of quail. Guess the rooster didn't care about them being there.
Dave, love that bb x4 Wonder if it had ice on the toes and it was cold.
Red, great photo of the junco.
This Lesser Goldfinch was a distance away, but it looked so colorful in the gray tree limbs.
