So. Calif. Spring RU 2010 - PLANTS

Donna, I think my Mr Happy is doing quite well considering he's STILL in a large clay pot while first I was waiting for the hot weather to go away, and then figuring out where I could plant him, and now, well, it must be all of the rain getting in my way now...lol..likewise the echium prettii. I noticed two things in Annie's latest catalog that I need and one of them is the geranium maderense 'Alba', the second is a salvia that I don't have, but her prices are high enough for a tiny plant, then add on minimum $15 for shipping. I think I have talked myself out of it. It's bad enough that I got the daphne the other day and now there's a plant that I'd like to go to Kartuz for and I'm really afraid to go there.....

Donna do you have any more Rudbeckia to spare?

Marie, yes I do. Would you like some? lol How much or many. I have a large patch that needs dividing so if anyone else wants some, speak up please.

Donna, I want some, I want some. What is rudbeckia? No luck finding it on DG plant files. Unable to even find the plant files. What's up with that?

Rabbits eat it.....
edited to add...at least they do at my place. One of my favorite things is Indian Summer rudbeckias with pennisetum rubrum, but I can't plant those together anymore because the rabbits love the rudbeckia....be warned if you have rabbits....

I'm not sure if it's Rudbeckia hirta or goldstrum for sure.

I'm gonna have a few extra (maybe 4 or 5) Sweet 100 tomato plants. If anyone wants one......they're very prolific producers. One plant will keep you in salad tomatoes for the season.

This is what a RU is all about Sylvia. Sharing of friendships, plants and good food. If people are offering up plants to share, it usually means people have extras and they want or need to get rid of some. lol Someday you will have extras and share with others....in the meantime, take what is offered and enjoy them. :-)

I'll have to do an inventory of increases, but I can probably bring some daylilies (named and recent). If anybody wants something special, I'll check my stock. Likely I'll have Cluster Muster, Destined to See, and I'll check on others...

Donna, I know you don't "do" daylilies, lol, but I'm sure looking forward to seeing you! All of the rest of you that I've met (and not yet met) as well :-)

Amarantha00, I am glad you'll be able to attend. I don't do daylilies either, mostly due to DH's weedwhacking ways, but I've always admired them. I haven't heard from you before, and I was just teasing Sylvia about the tickling, honest.

I have a Rose of Sharon that I just potted if anyone's interested. It's about 2 feet tall now.

It looks like more of a pink to me Sherry. It's in shock but I'm sure it will recuperate.
