There's a growth regulator called Florel that prevents fruit production for a range of trees--they don't list Podocarpus specifically but it would be worth trying. http://www.montereylawngarden.com/info/florel/ There are other growth regulators that are available to professionals, but this is one of the few (if not the only one) that is available for home gardeners. Application timing is critical for it to work--make sure you follow the directions carefully.
