Good mail order seed company.

Boulder Creek, CA(Zone 9a)

What mail order company has good seeds and good CS? I want flower and veggie seeds. Decent prices would be nice too.

Thanks

Hi srkrause,

I personally recommend Onalee Seeds. She has the best service of any person I have ever dealt with. A big plus for you would be that her seeds will do well in your zone. I am not sure if she has veggie seeds but her flower selection is incredible! http://onaleeseeds.com/

For fruit and veg, I recommend Seed Savers Exchange: http://www.seedsavers.org/

Visit both sites and I think you will like what you see.

Wishing you the best and Happy Gardening!

There is an excellent resource here on Daves that gives you a ton of info and opinion on the mail order plant business. Here is a link :

http://rareseeds.com/ - this is the only place I buy seed from and over all one of the nicest folks you will ever meet.

I suggest you become a member for a few months and trade for some seeds on the Seed Trading forum.

You might take a look at my article at http://www.morssglobalfinance.com/which-seed-catalogue-to-use/. Most of my research was done on seed prices.

I have used Stokes Seed Co. for many years and have been very pleased. You can buy packets or grower quantities. Some people object to the $6.95 shipping and handling charge. They have an excellent catalog and web site with plenty of planting instructions.

I swear by johnny's .. a little pricier on some, cheaper on others. germination is always outstanding and customer service has been great.. so has gourney's, but they don't carry everything for me to order all in one place like johnny's.
