sure it is warmer here now with the sun out.
Mine sounds like Weeze's
I have to admit I was very happy to see the sun out this am. So sick of grey dismal days. The next week looks good as well except for rain on Monday. The temps should be high 30s to 40s every day so not bad at all. Temp now is 30 degrees, light wind from the NW.
Back to 25*F and sunny this AM. We've had good sun and little wind all week which was a nice break. I believe that's all suppost to change tomorrow though. Ric
Chilly, but nice. Just back from the surgeon. We're giving cortisone a try first.
32 and sunny. Hope the freezing rain stays away.
Nice sunshine and temp is up to 37. Steady light 5-6mph NW wind.
Hope the cort. shots do the trick Victor. Good luck.
Thanks. I was ready to say no to it, but I trust him and appreciate the conservative approach and non-rush to surgery.
I'm all for not cutting. I was supposed to get "synvisc"injections in my wrists, but test showed scarring in the carpal surgery on the left and it has to be redone. I'm hoping they do arthroscopic to reduce healing time and they're supposed to do the synvisc injections at that time. I am hoping to be ready for spring projects. It's just no fun when fishing and cooking causes pain. LOL Ric
Thanks for the correction Victor!

You probably mean Synvisc. I had that in my knee and it did not help. Helps a lot of people though. I hear you on the pain. Been living with it (back and knee) for way too long.
good luck with the cortizone victor
Thanks. It's a bit sore now from the shot. The lydocaine is in effect first. Takes days or even longer for the cortisone to kick in.
good luck with it, Victor.
Thanks. He talked about a possible partial replacement if this does not work. I was only thinking arthroscopic! This would involved a metal knee cap.
yeah i had one on my wrist years ago - hurt it playing tennis - doctor was an old buck that was great - when he pulled out that needle he noticed my eyes get big - never forget him smiling at me and saying, "yep, these cortisone needles are the kate smith of needles" hurt like hell. wrist healed in a matter of days - amazing.
make for a lot of strip searches prior to flights - hoping for the best for you.
Can I request a woman searcher??
whom ever you feel more comfortable with
Pretty snowy shots, Celeste and Bill! I actually miss those pretty scenes!
Hot and humid here today. I discovered that many of the plants I have in the "about-to-be" puppy yard are lethally poisonous to dogs....Great! I spent a lot of time growing the red vinca plants from seed, and they were just getting pretty. And my large Brugmansia has to go as well. They are on the "fatal" list, so I'm not taking any chances with these little mouth magnets. So, my morning was spent digging up vinca and red ti plants and moving them to the back line of the yard, far away from puppy exposure. I trimmed the Brug back from its 12' height to about 5', and Hank will help me relocate it to the back line too. We got the quote for the new door there, so the project is a go!! Yay....sanity shall return shortly! No more leash mummy antics for me in public soon!!! And the fun part is, I will soon get to landscape the now-cleared area outside the door with a rounded paver walkway through the garden bed to the yard and some new plants in the abbreviated garden area near the door. This time I have to be careful that I don't select dog-poisoning plants. Tomorrow, Hank will continue putting the fence posts in. He's had 2 days off to play. LOL
Here's a shot of the "before" of the area. The door to the sunroom will go in the center of the wall to the far left of the Brug.
Forgot to say that every plant you see in that area has now been relocated or readied for the move.
Sounds like good news for everyone. Good work getting everything moved out already. I like the hot part but you can keep the humid bit down there for a while at least okay. Good luck on the door construction and big brug moving. Hope all goes smoothly and even the pups are happy campers.
Good luck with your treatments Victor!
Thanks, Joyce! It's a bit sore right now. Hopefully it will help.
Hang in there Victor. My brother had a hip replacement at age 80; he is now 83. So I'm sure that your more minor (sort of) treatment will go well.
Thanks, Lucy. I hope so. I'm sure I would respond nicely to the replacement if it comes to that.
Victor - I hope the cortisone gives you some relief. Anything you can do to avoid surgery is a good thing. We just lost a good friend last week from complications following routine back surgery. That makes three friends in three years. Those numbers scare me. One was only 33 with 4 young kids. So sad.
Oh - so sorry to hear that, Louise. My condolences. I've been bombarded with sad news lately.
Sorry, Victor. That freak accident of Michael in the PNW forum is terribly shocking.
Thanks, Louise. There have been a few other personal ones too.
I know and I'm so sorry. It has been a really tough time for you with what seems like constant bad news lately. Hard to keep your chin up at times, huh? Hang in there!
Thanks, Louise. We heard the other day of yet another. A good family friend died on Jan 2, but we did not find out until last week. She grew up with my mom and her (deceased) husband was my parents' best man.
Wow, what in the world is going on lately?
Maybe we should start a condolence thread?
you aren't kidding Jen.. terrible Victor
26 now going to 42 .. hhmmm changed our forecast... was supposed to be a yucky rainy / snow showers kind of day.. now saying partly sunny.. hope that's right!
21 degrees here, looks like the same cloudy day that we've had all month.
I'm lucking out....got to see the sun rise this morning!! It's a bit nippy though.........
