Lynnie, you use fresh parmesan cheese? Tell me why is it so much better than powdered. And is there a difference between brands of the fresh?

shoot Venice you'll just have to get some and see which one you like better. I try to use all fresh when I can, I think it makes a big difference but maybe it's just me.

Lynnie, do you use a brand name or the store brand.

I have a whole container of Kraft left so it will be quite a while before I buy more. But will definitely get the fresh next time. I think I bought it once before and it was really dry and there were little hunks in it. I will be sure to examine what I get. Thanks Lynnie.

the little hunks are fine to eat, I like 'em *grin* it's aged so it will be a little dry and smelly lol it's good on garlic bread too.

put the parmesan cheese on the bread before you put it under the broiler...I do butter, garlic salt, and parmesan cheese then broil till it's perfectly golden brown not burnt not wet.
Of course, my husband likes his with burnt edges (he also likes crispy cookies,I like 'em chewy) and I don't, and he can't have white Italian bread he gets hives, it has to be wheat, which I don't mind but the kids won't eat. It gets complicated over here!

Ok, I will have to try that. I used to do garlic bread when I had a toaster oven. But I don't like burnt either. I have a whole big skillet of ww spaghetti with veggies and left over crock pot chicken to finish before I can fill up on garlic/parmesan bread.

I like my homemake chocolate chip cookies soft on top, gooy chips, and crisp on the bottom! Thinking about them is giving me a craving!

Ok garbage man is going to hate me.
Cleaned out the kitchen cupboards and threw out everything I couldn't find the lid for, and all the plastic bowls that GS keeps putting in microwave for mac and cheese.
Put the sippy cups in the tote for the attic.

Venice, get a hunk of fresh Parmesan cheese next time and grate it as you use it. You'll never go back to the can!

Also, some people don't notice, but sometimes the cans are a blend of parmesan and romano. I personally don't like romano, I think it has too much of a bite to it. Parmesan is a bit milder.

My two cents ~ off to bed, I'm tired tonight. There's a Bob Dylan documentary on one of the channels, one of DH's favorites.
