I'll end it with probably my favorite shot of the day.
Daily Pics Vol. 273
I haven't gotten any pictures to post in a while but I just love to check this site daily to see everyones captures. I was checking the weather this morning and found this picture of sparrows that someone in NY posted that I found to be quite funny. Here is the link to it...

Wild Rose, that sapsucker is really a beautiful bird.
Hack, great warbler!! Love that Brown Thrasher!
Nanny, I'm glad you're enjoying that sapsucker too. Hope you and Wild Rose can get more photos of these pretty birds.
Mrs. Ed, your Red-bellied wp with that corn cob is fantastic! Wow. Now I'm sorry I bought the bag of cobs that were cut in half. So far the only birds here eating the corn are the crows. You've given me hope though. Congrats on the junco and your feeder looks great with all the birds.
Burd, love your beautiful Robins and your sparrow is so pretty. Hope you could hear the eagles screeching as they flew by you. Great duck pictures too! Looks like you had a great time.
Missy, that's quite a photo of the birds. I've never seen anything quite like it.
This Brewers Blackbird was really posing nicely for me as I looked out at all the thick fog.
Nice ones evrybody! Love that link Missy. That is too funny! lol
I put a bowl of cat food out on the front porch to feed Meese the outside kitty because I never know when he might show up. But now the starlings have found it and are eating his food! Very annoying to say the least....I worry about that kitty!
Here is a group of Starlings lined up under the suet feeder. :(
Darling shot Mrs. Ed and love the ones with the Red-bellied! Where do you buy the "magic cobs"?
Thanks for the new thread Hack...great start everyone, some really great shots!!
Mrs Ed... I love the "fuzzy bird" and his spiral corncob! How cute!
Nice shot of the quail, Duc. I had medical appointments yesterday so I took the 7D so I could play with it while I waited. It really has some neat features. Do you have software that lets you read the exif info? I noticed that the 7D allows you to enter your name in the camera and it adds it to the exif on every shot.
Snowing off and on here this morning. Here is a shot between storms . Taken with the 7D and a 100-400mm zoom.
Oh Dave!!!!! I ssooo want the 100-400 lens!
I love the second shot with the snow falling!
Our feeders have been busy thhis morning too!
Nanny, those starlings are cute, but it sure looks cold there. Loved the wren and titmouse photos!
Mrs Ed, that squirrel and corn cob are "priceless". LOL
Red, that cold doesn't look like it is affecting your birds. Cute photo.
Rose, your photos are beautiful!
Yes, Dave, I do have that exif info set up. I didn't notice we could add our name but I'll get that added to mine-thanks. Your photos are just so sharp and clear. You've convinced me that the 100-400 lens in my next "must have" for sure.
I haven't gotten any pictures to post in a while but I just love to check this site daily to see everyones captures.
Well we know who wears the beak in that family. He must have been talking to another lady.lol
yellow bellied sapsucker?
Yep, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
Resin
Rose, is that animal fat in the screen? It looks like the woodpeckers love it. Congratulations on the sapsucker.
duc,
Yes, it is just animal fat. We get it at the meat counter, but it's harder to come by. I was told they sell a lot during deer season. The Pileated woodpeckers love it.
And, thank you for the id!
I still don't have anything new to share but, I'm loving your pictures. :) :) :)
Rose, those are awesome!!!!!!
Thank you Hack, great job on starting the new thread. Can't wait to see the Warblers again.
I'm impressed by all the Sapsuckers today, too!!! Lovely pics of your woodpecker, Wild-Rose. And those Blue Birds are so sweet, Dave.
Goldfinch galore, Red and Rose. I have some, but some days they are more active then others.
Rose1656, I've only seen the Sapsucker a few time here in spring. It was my first time seeing them. Great capture.
Would like to get, some of those Titmouse, Nanny very nice shot of it. Send some my way, please, pretty please. Mrs Ed didn't know you had artist in the family, and RBWP is some nice, on that corn.
A Downy Woodpecker, the last time we saw the sun.
Great shots guys!
