Here is a link to the previous thread..lots of good birding there http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1066382/ .
We are like so much of the country...in a deep freeze with snow! One good thing about it is that our feathered friends have been spending lots of time at the feeders. It snowed all day yesterday and had to take pics through the window but will share some of my favorites.
The Purple Finches have been abundant this year and this handsome male posed on the shepherds hook. When I saw it on my computer screen I noticed that he had a snowflake on his cheek.

Daily Pics Vol. 272
Thanks Rose! I have not seen one Purple Finch either so far this winter....or a Pine Siskin.
Love the waterfowl Missy and that one is a cutie Red!
Lovely pics Rose! Thanks for starting the new thread!
Missy, Those are wonderful pics of the ducks and wren!
red, Such a cute Cockatiel!
Margaret, Great shot of the Honeyeater!
Rose, thanks for a great start, with that purple finch, love his little jewel on the cheek. I miss them. Love your Nuthatch as well.
Missy , nice shot of those N. Pintails ducks!
Reddirt, I haven't seen a House finch , at my feeder, yet. Yours is really pretty. Nice Cockateil, I have the Zebra finch, as pets. they're very sweet.
Margaret, I never tire of looking at your Honeyeater. You have such a variety of different birds from us.
One of my regulars, is the BlueJay.
Great photos in the last thread everyone!!
Rose, you picked some beauties for the start here. That's a great one of the Purple Finch. We have both the red and the purple here and it's so hard to be sure which one I'm looking at, but when I look at your photo, there's no doubt. Love that nuthatch picture-wow.
Missy, cute wren and ducks.
Red, love your H. finch and that gorgeous house pet of yours too!
Margaret, I'm so glad you found another Honeyeater for us, I love them.
Burn, great shot of a beautiful, colorful bird.
The Dark eyed Juncos are loving the peanut butter post. Here's another one just waiting for a free spot.
good pix everyone. Everyone have really gotten better with their photography since I first joined.
My birds are having trouble with a pair of Cooper's Hawks that want to hang out in one of my oak trees. The birds really flock in when the hawks fly off. Here is one of the hawks. Not a really good pic as the hawk was up in the tree and backlit by the sky.
Frank, your photos are always a joy to see. Sorry about the hawks sticking close to your house. That wren is beautiful and a little more rust colored than our Bewick's. Great shot of the House Finch.
TY Duc. Picking up a camera is all I have been able to do the last three days after my little car wreck. The seat belt possible saved my life but it sure did bruise my chest. But it really only hurts when I cough or try to pick up anything. I learned to not cut across a parking lot. Especially with the sun in my eyes. Those light poles are pretty solid. I never saw it.
OUCH Frank! Glad you are alive!!! Stupid Pole! But love that cute little wren.
Duck, love those oregon juncos.
YIKES Frank! Glad you are okay and still taking great pics. Take 'er easy You will be sore for a few days.
Duc, I agree with Pelle, with that second shot of your Junco.
Handsome Starling for sure, Pelle. You've gotten the colors real good.
Frank, being banged up ain't no fun. sorry to hear about your accident. Get well soon.
