Hee hee - that's about the size difference between you two, though I would call you a mouse, not a rat.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Cool, she and I have talked about her stay here in Maine. She loves 'Sunset Greenhouse' where that picture was taken, my MIL's friend own it and I frequent there often. I didn't know that had a "Pixie" plant though....need a trip I guess. ^_^

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Thanks Victor, is there such thing as a Pixie Mouse??

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Bear Grylls is back with new episodes starting tonight.

Watched a new show last night - Wild Recon - on Animal Planet. Pretty good.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i loss internet access for a day and did not even realize the Red Sox now have the best team on paper to win the world series with the latest news that Adrian Beltre will be our new third basemen and Ellsbury is going to play left (just average for all that speed) and let the new gold glove center fielder, Mike Cameraron play center.

great or what!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

We'll see.

Good thing I don't make long range plans... lol!

Another article I found said that it wouldn't be for another 10 million years. I'm REAL worried now. (Not that I was worried before.)

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Nice bloom of the day, Victor!

Don't know if I'll still be around in 10 million years. That's a lot of lifetimes to go through.

This is really sad. I hate seeing things like this happen. How can people do scams like this?

Scams are totally heartless, and destructive. It's all about money.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I heard a story on the radio today.. someone hijacked someones email.. and sent a letter to everyone in his address book that he was stuck in a foreign country .. had everything stolen passport included... and needed money to get home... to please send money to help him get back home

pretty bad

South Hamilton, MA

Early on with the computer we got one the the e-mails from Nigeria saying money was needed--deleted it & have heard no more. They could not have found the e-mail from us as had not used it very much. Learned to ignore that stuff very early.

On the other topic, Celtics won in overtime, ahead of action by super novas.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Hi everyone! I'm back from New Mexico. It's late. I've been up for the last few hours reading up on DG threads I was watching, but am too tired to post. Going to bed now.

Bear Grylls gave himself an enema on last night's show! And the water used was contaminated with bird poop. Talk about must-see tv.

My 1st thought was gold. They used to use Silver point root canal fillers.

Oh my gosh that is gross. I saw a vintage enema/other type bag go off on ebay USED. It was still in the box and went for a couple of hundred bucks! geeze!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

did not see that one victor - did watch two earlier shows last night - the nut was crossing a river naked in -20 degree weather - not sure why they even bothered blurred out his privates

To save him embarrassment??

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Couple months ago Verizon laid down underground cables (tore up my street plot) and since it is right here was thinking of switching to FIOS. Anyone use them?

The cable lines used now are overhead. Would I get better reception underground?

This message was edited Jan 7, 2010 12:06 PM

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I like FIOS a lot.

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

So Victor, you recommend them? How is their customer service?Better than other cable services?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

My sil and bro love FIOS. I'll be swtiching as soon as they finish putting it in here. Any utilities underground are better underground less likely for a storm or accident to knock out the lines.

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Thanks Jen! Hope you are feeling better. Do you know if its less expensive. trying to budget on utilities so i can buy more plants :-/

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes I do, Joyce. They have the three in one package too. The internet is very fast. No problems at all. Love the media manager!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Cheaper when you get the whole package of tv/internet and phone, not so sure if just getting tv.

My fil works for Verizon and he told us to wait her(which we have been since it's not available yet) but for some reason they kept screwing up the FIOS billing, even with the workers, they were cancelling it until they were more organized.

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Thanks Victor! Sounds good to me so far....

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

You mean cutomer billing was in error and so your relatives are cancelling it? that could be a problem since it will be new here in this area too.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I got it soon after it was available, Joyce. No problems.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

He couldn't have just waved?!!

jada i do not have fios since it is not available here - i do like the service verizon provides on site - same guy who came here yesterday was here in october for a different problem - he has done a great job - good kid, knows what he is doing, and asked me for suggestions for some landscaping he was doing at home:)

the over the phone support can be fustrating - fios is not available here even though it is in two neighboring towns - we only get 768 dsl service and recently learned we are on the end of the cable so it is a crap shoot if we even get that - it is also why we need service more often than other places - if we get fios in our life time we will go with the bundle.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Same here I get Verizon's 768 they had me on a meg at first but it was too unstable, much better now. Fios not avail here yet.
