Ivy cutting is dying!

Wheaton, IL(Zone 5b)

I took several cuttings of my ivy in the fall, and they rooted very well. In the past few weeks, I noticed they have white spots on the stems, and the leaves are shriveling up. I think I may have a fungus infection, so I sprayed with a fungicide tonight. I already lost one cutting, and don't want to lose the others. Any suggestions on what else I may try?

I'd check your watering--fungal problems often start when there's too much moisture around so it could be you're keeping them a bit too wet.

Thanks. I'll decrease watering even a bit more, but I typically keep everything very dry (even to the point of almost wilting) during the winter, since I don't have grow-lights, and natural sunlight is so poor now. I just don't know if this is a real fungal problem, or something else going on.

Can you post a picture? If people here could see it someone might have some other ideas.

Checked my plant again, and did a little more research. I think I have scale. It looks just like the pictures on the net. I swabbed with rubbing alcohol and then sprayed with insecticidal soap. I'm hoping they make it til spring, and not infect other plants.
