kids woke us up at 1;45, 5, 5:30 and finally 6 AM......house looks like a tornado hit it.

My nephew was here yesterday. He and his girl are moving back to Buffalo after they get married (in July). He said he was taking my piano. I told him he had to buy the house first. DD said "No-o-o!!" DD doesn't play it, doesn't want to, and he does. I told him years ago he could have it when he bought a house to put it in. Sure could use that space. It's beautiful, but it's wasting away here, no one plays. I used to when I was little, but just don't have that ear.

I play piano Smiley. Lynnie send little one,on down with her guitar..we'll rock the house!! Grin...Moon your little grands are just precious!

That's so cool, Dixie. I wish I had the ability to just sit down & play something. My brothers & nephews can all do that.

Took tree down last night, DH came in just as I was crawling out of the Christmas closet..just shook his head said " I can't believe you got that down and in that hole already" I can move fast when I want to..LOL

Today DR empty and I mean empty everything in the LR robots vacuumed I mopped and as soon as it is dry I am giving it a good coat of this wood floor reviver and hope for the best. If I screw it up guess somebody will have to hire the man to come refinish it again.

Going to dust and haul stuff to attic while the floor is drying so probably won't be back for awhile.

Just keep telling myself "What would Lynnie do" Oh I know throw it away.....LOL

Well I cancelled and rescheduled, haven't had flue shot and don't need to be in big crowds at stores. Time for me to get it in gear too, house work today! Catch yall later on.

I found an adapter to the fiber optic tree in the box!!! I thought that thing looked better in the store LOL. Time out JJ got to go to the store. Hi Joy give Theodore a big turtle smooch for me :-) Its 46 degrees at 2:00 now. Decorations are disapearing back into boxes and think tea time is about here.

I'm so jealous of you guys! DH is a New Years Baby, wants it up for his birthday. Come Jan 2, it's all coming down...

It sounds as though there's more shops open in US on boxing day than over here.We're lucky to find much open at all,just a few small supermarkets and newsagents,for the papers of course,luckily I'm not down to work till Wednesday,though
The snows thawed off my patio now and I've been sweeping up the salt that DH put down to prevent us slipping when it froze.It was nice to be outside,cos as I said earlier it's been a lovely day here,cool and fresh,but not too icy cold.
I hope you all have a good evening,It's 8.30 here now and I'm going to do the after dinner clearing away,in a few mins.

Smiley ,hi,I'm still here.The tradition here's to leave decorations up till the day of 6th Jan and take them down on that night[12th night],I was going to mention that I didn't realise you took them down earlier in US.
Is it sort of an individual thing,some leave them up,some don't?

Joy glad you are on the thaw. Normally I leave mine up until New Years, but since I got excited this year and put them up on first week of November I'm ready for them to go lol. Have a nice walk with son tomorrow and will probably chat on Monday. Hi Smiley, don't be jeolous its just work you don't have to do right now lol. Gone to the store be back soon.

I actually thought about leaving the tree up til March when Daughter Jan and her family get here.... Think I would have to sedate my DHGrinch if I did....lol. Usually leave the tree til Epiphany (twelfth night, Jan 6) but take the rest down.

This thread is getting a bit long in the tooth, so I have started a bright shiny new one. See you all there
