Hi all !!!
We just bought a property and on it there's a beautiful lemon tree that has a termite nest on it.
How do I get rid of it? Some people told me to burn it; will this damage the tree? how will I do this?
Any and all help greatly appreciated.
Willy
How to get rid of a termite nest.
I found this link.....it helps to ldentify your termites, but suggests calling in a professional for eradication.

Thanks!!! There's a lot of good info there.
However it tells me to call a professional for eradication just as you said.
The problem with this is that there are no professionals in the area (this means within 2 Hr flight plus 30 boat ride ) so bringing somebody to take care of this will be very expensive if I can't take care of it myself.
The good news is that they don't eat the tree. I was actually wondering about this; if they ate the tree away, then their home will fall on the ground.
Thank you!!!
Since you will have to handle it yourself, here is some info I found. Just be careful...

I'm going to have to get better at "googleing" things.....
Now I have a lot of material to read and analyze to see what aproach will take. Thank you so much for your help!!!
