As soon as I double check all the closets and get the last of the cookies packaged I think I'm done, except for the cleaning and it'll wait if need be, everyones use to it by now..LOL

I was told not to buy toys Moon...how do you think that worked....clothes are no fun.

Hi everyone,hope you're having a good day so far.4.45 here already and we've 28f outside,no more snow fallen,but it's crisp underfoot.Finished work at 1PM,then did parents shopping,was hoping my Mum would obay me:}and not decide to go out herself and slip down.All was well though and she'd done me a list,luckily nothing too heavy ,although it's not far to walk to a small supermarket,from their home.

Hi JJ,wondering what Moonsand can be?,got to be toys ,clothes are definately no fun,same goes for me too,anything to wear's a necessity,everyone needs something to....1,playwith 2,read.
Don't worry about cleaning,just cover all surfaces with decorations:},my no-dusting excuse.

Hi Moon,glad you like my pony photo,he/she,i'm afraid I don't know which:},lives at a riding school stables,not far from my house.In the field there were several others,but this one came to talk to us,it was yesterday,when I was out with Sam.
Yes,got to have toys!!! and maybe the no housework's an English eccentricity....but it is holiday season:},and I have to do it the rest of the year.

I believe moonsand is a sculpting toy, they're probably better off with playdough! Maybe it's because I come from an artsy-fartsy family, but what is life without playdough?? One of the girls I work with won't let the stuff in her house, either. DD would have been lost without it, she was the queen. I still occasionally buy it for them.

Moon, that is just a fantastically great idea - write in the dust!

And I agree with the toy thing, that's what grandparents are for. I vow if my children tell me not to get my grandchildren toys, I will tell them I can't hear them.

The Moonsand sounds good,like something my 2 boys would have enjoyed,they liked making /building things.
Hope your son finds a pizza oven and that you find your table....grin.
We're not so bad now,but when boys were younger,table was always covered with something they were in middle of building or painting or something,and all had to be moved before meal could be put out:}

Smiley, growing up my mom was an RN and worked all week. On Saturdays we cleaned house. One Friday evening company showed up shortly after my mom got home from work. She scooped the newspapers from the coffee table and noticed the dust so wrote WELCOME in the dust and answered the door.Grin The ladies sat at the dining room table for coffee and never even saw Mom's impromptu greeting...lol

Yeah we still have snow we're supposed to get more tonight...like this Mon eve, snow...tues snow...wed wintery mix...thurs rain and wind....fri snow...sat snow...welcome to winter folks hang on tight....But I think JJ has more than I get...although last night I got to drive the big ford...or as Moon would say a 'BAT' truck...cuase hubby slid the jeep into a big ditch and couldn't get out so I got to drive the monster out to get him....I named the truck 'Road Hazard' cuase its got 44" tall tires on it, a roll cage and it only gets 6 miles to the gallon and it's painted machine grey flat

Trina,you'll certainly know it's winter:}That sounds like a large vehicle,no wonder you call it " Road Hazard".As I don't drive,I don't have to worry about skidding etc,just hopefully remain standing on 2 feet :}.Past 2 days walking's been quicker around here,than driving as very slippery.

Trina,thanks,I've heard of Wal-Mart,don't think we have them here,or at least not in my part of country.

Gotta wait for DH to get back before I head out. WallyWorld is a large discount store that carries everything from Automotive accessories to groceries to clothing, electronics and housewares. A one stop shopping center...I know they use the name Big W in Australia, and can not imagine them not being in the UK, although probably only in the more urban areas. I think you may have Target stores in the UK...they are the French equivalent of Wal-Mart.

Moon,I think they probably excist here,maybe just not in the areas where I do my shopping.I know that in Sheffield ,my nearest city,there are many out of centre stores which I 've never visited.My DH says he thinks the Wal Mart group own Asda,which is a chain of very Large supermarkets in parts of UK.
