Merry Christmas everyone.
I made a trade for some hickory nuts. Tricia said to soak them good before planting them. We've been out of touch and now they have started to bust open the shell...should I plant them now or let them open competely?
Thanks,
Linda
Hickory Nuts
If the nuts are showing obvious signs of germination, meaning that a root is coming from the split shell, then by all means plant them now. They don't need to open completely.
