Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Michaela,

I'd love some Dianthus deltoides 'Arctic Fire'

Terese

(Zone 7a)

Thanks, Terese. Michaela, I didn't see any of your wishes. How about describing some characteristics of the kind of plants you might be interested in and/or their purpose to give us an idea? Ella has my seeds by now, but I have a copy of the list I sent her, so maybe I might have something you'd like - same for the other piggies, I imagine.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

bluespiral - I still have seeds left from last year . . . I would be VERY piggy if I asked for more!

I am happy to share with others. Oh - I forgot to add to my list - I have little baby gladiola corms - lovely dark orangy-salmon coloured - just in case anyone has an extra row in the veggie garden. If you plant these for one more year (and then dig them up) you will have lots of lovely glads the following year. . .

Kannapolis, NC

Seandor: I've sent d-mail oinking for the following:

Both Agastaches
Bellis perennis
Brugmansia Equador Pink
Both Lobelias (or all, don't remember if it's more than 2)

Wheee! I thought I was fat enough until you posted your list. Thank you.

Marietta, MS(Zone 7b)

Hello everyone :) I've been busy packing up seeds. I'll be sending them out on Thursday (soonest I can get to the P.O.).

I got caught up on some things, but every time I get caught up, I run out of time to post, so didn't catch up so much this time.

I have had fun in the piggy swap & hope to have a better selection to offer for the swap next year :)

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Ok, I just found some Lions Ear seeds that didn't make it in the box somehow, so mark that off the list Ella. Unless someone really wants them, I won't send it to you. But if they do I'll send it straight to them.

Back to fudge making.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Seandor, if you're still taking requests, I'd love a pinch of Aquilegia vulgaris var. stellata 'Blue Barlow' if there's any left. Thanks!

Southborough, MA(Zone 6a)

Seandor- now I REALLY, REALLY am oinking for Bellis perennis (I posted earlier today). I just looked it up and figured out it has the same medicinal action as arnica montana which I have wanted for ages due to my multiple sprains per year (bad ligaments).

Pretty please if you have any left- put some in my trough!

Southborough, MA(Zone 6a)

Star- I was just over on the seed trading forum and noticed that our Piggy Swap #11 thread is still open over there. I think you are the only one that can close it, as you started it.

Patricia

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

Southborough, MA(Zone 6a)

Anyone have experience with Elder law- basically elder guardianship and medicaid coverage for assisted living/nursing homes?
I'm in quite a pickle today looking for a good atty in Michigan (which is 800 miles from where I currently live, but where my mother lives). :(

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

My box is in the hands of the P.O now :-) I sent it priority... it was only 9 cents more. But if I remember right, I think I sent it priority last year and it took 5 or 6 days to get to you. Hopefully it won't take it's merry ol' time in the spirit of Christmas lol.

herbspirit... I know nothing about Elder law. I know that there are a few here that have had to deal with these issues as well . Hopefully you'll get a response soon...

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

LOl. Ya sometiem s thes eboxe sget an ide a in their head of they want to go sight seeign befor e they arriv e wher e they suppose d too.

Sorry Herb, have no ide a what that is, but ya might google law service for the are a ya need. Hope ya get the help ya need.

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Star.... i was thinking about your new keyboard.... does it have a colored roundish plug or small rectangular one?

I was futzin' with my PC today and disconnected everything... my keyboard is purple and roundish.

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

OH... i think i found that it is USB.

I bet your camera plugs into a USB port too.

any idea what your computer is?? brand and model number... we could look up the specs to see how many ports you have.

and i know Andrea popped an adapter on the mail.... i've just got the curiosity thing going on.

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

Mine has a roudn hole in the back wher e the keyboard plugs in. what i have is a hp pavilion x1963 that what the brain box says on the front.

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

it may be a XT963

that one i found....

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bph06895&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=62764&lang=en#N1639

it lists 1 USB port ... that is probably where you hook up your camera.

I find i never had enough USB ports... the 2 on the front are stupid and you can't get anything seated easily...

I added a 'card' in the back that has 4 USB and 1 Firewire [somehow managed to break one of the USB] and i also have an external 'Belkin" 4 port that i use for DH's camera and flash drives... better than crawling on the floor to hook things up.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Sorry, Herbspirit, sounds like you've got something rough to deal with over the holidays... I would try posting in the NorthEast gardening forum and see if somebody can advise.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Robyn dmail me

Kannapolis, NC

Ella: Any results on the stone yet? Surely you aren't still suffering from it. BTW, please add my oinks to Seandor for his seeds:

Both Agastaches
Bellis perennis
Brugmansia Equador Pink
Both Lobelias (or all, don't remember if it's more than 2)

Piggy thanks!

I want to know how to make the fudge-Robynznest

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

What fudge? i love fudge.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

ooohhh I heard fudge!

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

i tried to make fudge today and ruined it. easy recipe my friend said followed directions to a tee and guess what its runny and wont harden. i have never had any luck with fudge so if someone has a secret let me know. got so upset over it i started crying. dont understand what i did wrong.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Rie I'll send you the recipe I use if ya want....but fudge doesn't like to set period in high humidity

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I don't have any fudge success stories here... however...

runny fudge = world's best hot fudge sauce!

Imzadi, all you need is some good vanilla ice cream. :-)

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

well i attempted to make "pinwheel cookies". what a nightmare.
Now i know why I dont work with sugar cookie dough.... I chilled, I floured the board.... I could not roll those things up to save my life... so i did the best i could, mashing it together, re-worked it into a "log" -- now they are in the frig... i will slice and bake... but they wont be used for Christmas.... recipe is in the trash already.

Eagle Point, OR(Zone 8a)

I got my spoon and heading to Imzadi's house!

When were were kids my mom would make fudge and sometimes it wouldn't get hard, we loved it! Everybody got a spoon and dug in! It was yummy!

It might take me awhile, I'm on the west coast......

Patti

Hey, why don't we all meet there with our favorite spoons?!? I'm on the east coast in SC.
Look out girl!

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

I think I made a fudge last year that involved "fluff". You know that marshmallow stuff. It was called Easy Fudge. And it was easy and it hardened up and cut up nice. I need to make all of my cookies and stuff now that the piggy swap is done. Apparently the guys at my DH's work are placing their orders... They were afraid that I wasn't making cookies this year, lol!

OK mygypsyrose, we want that easy receipe.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

we call it fantasy fudge, uses marshamallow creme too and when it says rolling boil 5 minutes...it MEANS 5 minutes...not 4 minutes and 59 seconds or 5 minutes and 1 second
