Snakes are welcome in my garden too Bill. All these wonderful spring pics. Tulips, hellebore, columbine and short iris, and six foot tall iris oh my! JoAnn your album is lovely, love the iris and poppy. And 'African Queen', good movie and wonderful lily. Thanks everyone. It will be the end of April before these are ending a sunny smile to the world.
Tahiti?
I do believe that it is, not 100% but pretty sure.
Beautiful Lily and daffodil!
Reminds me of that song we used to sing in summer camp
"I love the mountains
I love the rolling hills
I love the fountain
I love the daffodils
Boom de ah da....."
Ge, Hewerta was in my last bulb order, but they sold out. At least I have yours to look at . Thanks. Have to get on my desktop to get some pics to post.

That is a wonderful photo!
thx joann
polly very nice iris pic!
what kind of lizards did not see - did not know we have any this far north - could it be salomanders?
Thanks Bill.
Well, we were very excited to have found lizards here, especially since the DEC doesn't show them in our area at all, but upon contacting a friend at the DEC, they are becoming more common in our area. We believe we had the Coal Skink. Bu they are so fast it's hard to determine which ones they actually are. We had at least three out by the pond, and I think they were three different ones, due to the sizes.

Love that puppy in the rudbeckia picture!
Wow - great shots today! African Queen is a great color.
Great daff, Pat. Love the doubles.
Nice pear, Jen! ^_^
Great pic, Bill. I'll be getting one.
Wonderful combo, Pirl! Really like muscari.
Sally is very nice, Polly.
What a great shot, Weeze! Beautiful face.
I'm staying in March with this bulb shot. Forgot the name!! Help!
Or Chinoxodia?
I think so. Thanks!
As far as I could find the other one was Chionodoxa. I don't know the difference between the two of them.
Wow! Great color!
Chuck lives in Canada (for the benefit of Canadian DGers.)
Chuck the Canuck??!
NICE!!!
Nice spring poem from summer camp jadajoy.
Jen the pear blossoms are wonderful with the pretty blue sky in the background. Lovely picture.
Bill I really need a red JM now. That is a great combo.
Narcissi and grape hyacinths, nice! Pirl are those pink or apricot trumpets? Also love the trees budding in the distance.
Polly a pretty iris for sure. The colors blend so nicely.
Venu that is one happy puppy and a really good use for those rudbeckias.
Irisma your pic is the darkest iris I have ever seen. Gorgeous with the contrasting blue.
And those little blue bulbs, whatever they are Victor, are like a spring sky. I think I have some of those but the name, I will trust Pirl on that.
Love the color of that iris, Iris.
I agree with Pirl, Chionodoxa would be my guess.
Too bad animals cant weed.
No, but they can dig!

Shadow's shadow is trying to sniff the crocus too! :)
Weigh in on the Cats vs. Dogs thread!
I never have any blooms in March, the squirrels eat the crocus here. March of this year we got a snowstorm which dumped 24" snow here! - The biggest storm we had last 'winter'. Out of 100 crocus bulbs I planted in fall of '08 only 3 bulbs came up in spring of '09. Same story with 50 the year before. Thankfully he doesn't have a taste for the tulips in May! lol!
- One of the three...
That's a great crocus WC! Rabbits eat mine. That seems to be the only thing they bother so I don't mind.
First thing I do in the Spring when I see their leaves is spread blood meal around them. Haven't lost one to a critter since I started doing that.
I'll have to try that this spring. Thanks 3G!
