Indoor Blooms & things that get you through the winter #2

Oooooh, love that Cybister Lima

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very pretty, Patti.

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

I like the color of Zombie, Patti!

Thomaston, CT

Like them both---also, great BB shots--I watched both the UCONN men & women win, although the men's game was painful to watch. I have a few blooms on Christmas cactus, nothing else here except for hibiscus, Cool Breeze.

Beautiful! I want one! You are corrupting me!

Thomaston, CT

Thanks---just a quick shot from my cheap Cannon Sureshot.

PV---this plant was on sale at the end of the season----I left it outside until a heavy frost, brought it in, & just last week had to spray for aphids. That's a problem with hibiscus.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

LOL! If I'd done that with an african violet, it would be a pile of brown mush...and certainly not blooming! I'd say, Nice growing RD!

Phoebe - what is the lovely, long-stemmed, white-flowered treasure?

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Hi Kevin--it is the remnants of a neglected Jewel Orchid (Ludisia discolor) that got stuck in a corner, and surprised me with an early substantial bloom.

Thanks Robin!

Took a few pics yesterday AM when I saw the light hitting the steam coming out of the coffee pot as I put it in the sink. This one looks (appropriately) like an elf's foot!

Boojum, no wonder you didn't answer your phone today. Nice picotee edge on that orchid. The color is amazing. Royal.

Enjoy the day tomorrow all. Patti

Here's one of my amaryllis. I think it's something called Red Lion (?).

I got this Giant Thai Euphorbia (Crown of Thorns) from Logee's last winter. It's done really well, and blooms all winter.

Thanks, WC. I had a breakthrough with my new camera today and started to feel like I have some control again.

Patti, got your call when we got back from Bratt. We picked up a turkey at the North End Butcher and I squeezed in an orchid run downtown. I've been calling you but haven't been able to reach you. Are you out on the town?? Ha, ha. Funny to think of hanging out in the cold in the minuscule town of Williamsville, VT!
