I agree Burd these threads go fast. Nice photos so far. I have more activity from some old friends, especially the Juncos when it snowed. I went to Conowingo Dam on Friday and it was a pretty interesting day. The Eagles (about 10 or more) hung out on the parking lot side today instead of all the way across the river. I've been twice this season and I've counted at least 20-30 Eagles in the area. Here's a couple of many photos I was able to get today.

DAILY PICS VOL. 265
What an amazing sighting the ivory Gull must have been, Pelle.
Al, what magnificent birds. That last shot just about knocked my socks off.
Unbelievable shots Al - absolutely stunning! I can only imagine what seeing a bird like that in the wild must be like.
Nice shots Burd!
Met, Good ones of the majestic Eagle!
claudcat - That White crowned Sparrow is really nice.
HollyAnnS - Every time I see pics like yours, I'm glad I'm in Ga, where its a balmy 50 degress outside. Stay warm.
Burd_Fotos - Sweet, esp. the flock of gulls, so many, wow.
Methodical - Words just can't describe the majesty of a Bald Eagle, but your camera captured it - incredible!

It's been so cloudy I haven't taken many pics the past few days. The cold weather has brought in a lot of birds. Cardinals and the RB Woodpecker returned for the first time in weeks. Also had a rare for here Merlin perched in a pecan tree watching the birds. Fortunately he went for a large flock of starlings. Had 35 doves and 20+ juncos on the grain this a.m. Most popular feed among the finches is sunflower seed, thistle second and they are rarely on the finch blend grain.
A pic of Mrs. Cardinal. I'm sorry, she just wouldn't look at the camera.
LOL bltefft, It was in the 20s that morning with a god brisk wind it was really bitter cold.
Burd_Fotos, Just love those pics by the Bay. Oh how that reminds me of a much warmer place.
Methodical, Beautiful Eagle shot, I can never get close enough for my camera to take a pic like that.
Here is a pic from that warmer place. Taken at Jensen Beach, Fl. on our last trip.
Correct, the dark one is an immature.

Is that House Finch a cross bill, reddirt? The beak looks too long for a HF.
Oh wait, that must be a sunflower seed!!!
Nice ones red, Holly and Rose!
Nice Shots Everyone! It was a nice day, but I only worked on flight shots until Mr. Cooper came to crash the party. I watched House Sparrow's that couldn't make it to the bushes, dive into a pile of leaves and vanish, so neat I could here them crawling underneath the leaves. Of course I sent Mr. Cooper on his way and after a few minutes the HS's came out of the pile.
Nice opening to the new thread Mrs-Ed. love the birds shots too. Thanks
Hawks seem to be common, in everyone yard, this time of year. Didn't see one yet, so far.
I have some returning doves from last year, and the year before. This one is one of them. It's beak is broken. And another one, has knobs for toes.
Burn, your dove is a beauty. I haven't seen any hawks either. And the jay is gorgoeus!

Sorry everyone...I just realized I haven't been resizing. I know better. Bad CC :(
Furry birds are a nuisance. Like the finches & feel sorry for the bluejay.
