Oh I love it. I thought that you had flowers growing outside, then I remembered the snow and looked closer... Its a calander.. Goodness I wish it was spring already

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Oh MIssJ, it was SUCH a nice calendar too. It was called "The Secret Garden" and the pictures were so beautiful. I do have Christmas cacti blooming though. But nothing outside. I need to go to the mall after Christmas and get a sale calendar. I hope I can find another garden one. What kind of calendars do you like? I bet horses...

Portland, OR(Zone 8b)

I have that calendar! It's in my work cube; we have no windows whatsoever in my work group so I try to make windows...lol. I have gotten a couple of faux wallpaper windows for different seasons/places so I can change them out from time to time.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Well I hope at least SOMEONE besides me was watching The Grinch tonight hmpf! I get so misty when his heart grows thricely and bursts the metal square thingy (sniff).

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

watched him a few weeks back... I can't find The Grinch on here anywhere tonight.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Greykyttn might just be a AZ Grinch nite.

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

it was on a couple weeks ago here.. tonight for once i've not found 1 Christmas program...

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

I think I saw the Grinch once but I don't remember anything about it.

Clarkson, KY

Caught the last of his Grinchiness...

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

I liked the old version i grew up with better than the new & improved one..

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

Billy and I have a favorite this year 2009.. we recieved it last year from you and he just fell in love with it. It hangs on the back of our front door and holds all of our importaint memories of this year... LOL Our Chicken calender...

I thought when the year was over, I would cut it up and post the pictures all over his room.. I do love the horse calenders I got one last year in the gymkana series that hangs in my office, which reminds me I will have to change it soon... May take those pictures and post them on his wall as well...

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

No Grinch tonight, I missed it.

Southern NJ, United States(Zone 7a)

We didn't watch the Grinch but we did engage in winter-type fun anyway. Here's GD and the labradoodle with some snow for those of you who are longing for it. Can you imagine getting that dog clean enough to bring back inside????

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

yes i can! we had a small half scottish terrier/mutt mix that would start out totally black. After burrowing like a pig thru the snow (with her nose to the ground she would make tunnels) she would come back inside looking totally white. My job was to put her in the bath tub & pour cups of warm water over her till she melted then blow dry her. She loved the snow but hated the required bath afterwards. Enjoy your snow! Looks like it should start here by 4 pm. :0)

ANOTHER reason why every peoplehouse should have a puddle/mud room.

Clarkson, KY

Mudrooms are essential...

Southern NJ, United States(Zone 7a)

We planned our house that way - we really did; the back door had a tile foyer and led right into the bath. Alas, the patterns of the household rendered such plans useless since we ended up employing the screened-in porch which led into the kitchen/dining area for our main entrance. The porch was just much handier for boots and such. But our hearts were definitely in the right place to begin with.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I can relate g_g. I always use the walkin to my office as it comes directly in from the garden rather than the back door. It is recommended that one wear gumboots in my office at all times.

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

I want snow, I do have a mudd room that I turned into a tack room cause I dont get snow

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Please hold of the snow in Georgia until I get home. 2 1/2 days.

Clarkson, KY

and counting, huh?? lol...hang in there, wren!!

They do look quite sinister.

sinister mice can be vewry ,vewr,y vewry, twicky . so be caweful.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Truly a plot most sinister by hook or by crook. I don't trust the green meese at all. Very easypeasy to fake being a botanus plantaceous being. Are the flocks on alert dear Claire? Santa will pop by tonight and foil their sinister plan for sure but it might be bestest to have the flocks on alert.

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

maybe they are helping Santa.. they are very sparkly & in all this icky weather if they crawl to the roof they could reflect light very well & show him the way. Maybe they are there to help the sheep get nice gifts from Santa. :)

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Or maybe it's all about cheese.... If you look really closely greykyttyn you will see that the sparklyness is just a little TOO sparkly. Methinks its a rouse or ruse or rouge or something spelled like that which means 'nefarious decoy'. Ya nefarious decoy.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Well the note in the LuLu purse did say "We come for cheese" but you never know, it could have been part of the ruse....errr...nefarious decoy. Is there such a thing as a Trojan Mouse?

I was a bit ruffled by the red one, myself. I thought the green one was sort of "all go" if you know what I mean, but the red one...oooooooooo....warning! warning!!

If I manage to corral them, I might attach little leashes to them and attach them to the tree for the holidays! They couldn't possibly get into trouble there.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

BRILLIANT idea! Unless they pull the tree over :(

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

or nibble on the Christmas light wires & catch the tree on fire..

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Methinks there are not enough of them (yet) to topple the tree. If I can corral them soon enough, it should be safe, provided I keep them each at least a leash's length from the next one, so as to prevent any mousey-hankie-pankie on the tree.

Now, as for Kyttyn's point, this is a conundrum. How shall I fix that?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Give them cheese! Perhaps that will sooth them into a false sense of security? Are the flocks secured? You haven't mentioned how the flocks are handling this rouge!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

The flocks are in the barns on account of the nasty mistdrizzlesleetmessycrapfromthesky that we are having right now. They will not come out of the barns until it is abated. It is not due to abate for many hours. Apparently the weather deities are displeased with me.

Clarkson, KY

I suspect any sparkly mice are so because they ATE my Christmas stocking that my artist grandmother made for me...and then nibbled an 8 inch opening into the one my needleworking grandmother made...upset. Highly. :-{

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Oh, now that is quite dreadful indeed. Off with their heads.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

ARRRGH! EVIL MEESES!!! That is a heart breaker Cousin Grow :( Sorry that happened :(

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

Cmoxon - ur mistdrizzlesleetmessycrapfromthesky stuff was suppose to give me snow.. but i guess someone is displeased with me also because all i see is mistysleetymessycrapfromthesky. not one snowflake to be found yet.

grownut... I have a lovely, sweet, mouse (or mice) living in the walls of my bedroom. Each winter they move in. Each winter my cats fail to dispatch them to another life elsewhere. This year i swear he ate all the Christmas cookies & is a 5 lb mouse. They scratch, nibble, climb threw the wall next to my head all night long. They ate my wonderful German wheat bread the other night.. got into my candy bag... I'm thinking of lacing a sugar cookie with a wonderful crumbly yellow sugary mouse candy & dispatching the darling mouse to another world.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Grey - it has just started to snow here....maybe it will come to you.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

My radar says the westernmost third of MO is presently being snowed upon, with a bit of the middle chunk being iced upon. The eastern 2/3 is being rained upon. Whereabouts are you?
